I have been wondering when people say so many lumens per sq foot they mean sq foot of grow room or plants?

Great information bro. Did a few cfl grows under my belt with great quality & yeilds. All about placement & having plenty of them.

i use 8 23watt 2700k for flowering, and 6400k for Veg ( i ran 24/7 for ~4-5 weeks, also did 1 week of transition 18/6 before 12/12) from everything i have read the more lights the more lumen = more penetration. Even tho lumen arent a huge factor in cfl growing. i like to keep my plant around 83degreese. all my lights about 2-3" away. Used fishing string after nugs started to develop to pull down the smaller nodes under fan leaves to get better light. Seemed to be working great. i didnt let a lot of nodes grow so the lower part is bare and the kola is full, its about 8-10" long atm still going. total plant 18" tall

a bit old but will side and bottom lighting on plants be just as good as lst or scrog? wanna know cuz im gunna go 12/12 from clone and try to jam as many as possible in my cabinet without crowding them and was gunna go for more top colas and less side branches.. jw?

Well really I have a sea of green going in a cooler, 15 solo cups. I use 6 250watt spiral cfls 7500k for veggie 2700k for flower. They do fantastic. Looks like a jungle. Also add is a uvb bulb w/ your cfls during flower. It increases your trich production.

Hey fellow space cadets! I am about to get underway with my first grow, just got a few questions if anyone can guide me along the right lines..

I'm growing one auto kush fromage strain by medicann in a closet 2ft square by 5ft using a 125watt dual spec cfl (with reflector) in bio-bizz all mix in a 10L pot.

Does anyone have any advice on how high the lamp should be from the soil when I plant this? I was thinking like 10inches?

like I say, it's a first grow so i'm just tryna get the basics down so any advice would be much appreciated.
