CFL and HPS during veg?

I'm using 17 23w 6500k cfl's on 5, 1 week old beauties..... Soil grow.

I was wondering what impact the use of my 600 watt HPS 2700k would have if any... Obviously the HPS is for flowering, but I curious to hear what people have to say about using the cfl's super close to the leaves and the hps a foot or two over head...

heat is NOT an issue in my grow space....

thanks

my way would be large cfl for 3 weeks then chuck in hps or have hps with a few blues chucked in, experiment and c what works for you.

thanks man.... I know I CAN do it.... I'm looking for the best possible result..... A lot on here argue that you must veg under blue light (daylight) 6500k ish....and then flower under 2700k ish....

I the cfl's are super close emitting their daylight...and the hps is overheard...what impact if any will that have on growth and will it have any impact on what the majority says is most important during veg "6500k"....

i have used mh and hps together and seperately for entire grows. but in every one of them always throw in a few cfls to hit the areas under the canopy. mh is a great way to get seroius crystals while budding and can be used through an entire grow. but for the best results hps for flower. i have become fond of using a 600 hps and 400 mh through my entire grow and have been very happy with the final product. cfls are always a great addition as most here have said. you get tighter buds in areas you normally wouldnt

thanks... I'm a little confused.... what is the temp rating of your MH and HPS? do you use cfl's at all?

i use cfls but i place mine underneath the plants. and shine them up into the canopy. you just have to be careful doing this because they still produce heat.
temp rating? sorry not sure what a temp rating is

cant find the bulb boxes...i might even be wrong on the hortilux part....never paid attention to numbers...i just use what has worked and stick with it. i know there are much better bulbs than what i use but i've never had a reason to try new brands because i cant see the final product get any better with change. too many people go overboard with their grows. its a weed and as long as it gets water with good drainage, doesnt get heat stressed and a little supply of nutes it will produce according to the wpsf....i get over a gram per watt so my bulbs cant be that bad and i dont spend too much on them

bump...

still looking for an answer on whether or not I should turn on the 600 watt HPS in addition to the 17 cfl's t 6500k....currently vegging in the 2nd week...

I get that more light means more growth....I'm just asking about adding the 2700k area of the spectrum to my current veg at 6500k......
