CFL and 12v hid Closet

ok so I had an indica growing underthe 12v hid. Cops came in and ripped her right up. So this is ver2.0 I guess. Setup is a 400w computer psu powering the hid. The we have my 2 true 55w CFLs. Color spectrum on hid are 5000k and 6000k. CFLs are 3200k. Hoping to get some seeds from the tude next week. No bagseed floating around. I'm going auto flower also.

You have to keep us posted on this I have been toying with the 12v idea for months! looks like a good set up for veg for sure! GOOD LUCK!

have you looked at cones for the lights? https://www.1000bulbs.com/category/detachable-aluminum-compact-fluorescent-reflectors/ I bet if you measured your bulbs and check the specs you could really increas you light.

matt, yeah. I don't really care about trying to direct light, scared of hotspots.

here are the "guts" of my light setup. Along with supplies.

forgot to mention that grow space is 30"x24" and I can raise the lights to about 5ft.

got 1 seed today. Guy said it should be romulan x blue dream. Germing now. Test will start soon. Going 50/50 vermiculite and soil. Starting off in solo cup.

I would just go straight into the grow pot and reduce transplant stress bro, less stress = faster plant growth and more meds in the end.

No hot spots if you stretch it evenly. Easy to install if your at 5 foot, stand it on end staple through some construction paper or thin cardboard cut into 1x1 squares and roll it to each corner and repeat on each side of the corner and bam huge light boost. you can line the roof of the box as well.

TRiCK: If you set the roll on a small box or paint can or anything that will bring it up to the celine line it will be much easier to get the most out of it. Also do the floor and if your really looking for a good way to keep your root zone cooler cut a cardboard piece with a key hole notch to slide around your stem to cover the top of your pot(and paste a piece of the mylar to the top of it). This I have found makes the dirt stay moist much longer, though make sure you don't over water do the longevity of the moister.
When your seedling is young measure moisture with a finger poked straight down to the second knuckle if it is dry water lightly after 2 weeks or so the root mass will be ready for you to water the pot fully at that time:
Lift your dry pot a few times get an idea of the weight and that will be the best way to make sure you have a near dry medium. this is important as marijuana likes to get near dry before you water again.

finally signs of life. Bag seed is in mini solo cups and the rom x wreck is in what I believe is a 2 gallon bucket.

last pics are of bud I have been cheifin on. Very Las pic is a good 3/4 oz of headband.

day 2.

keeping them close to lights so stretching is minimized. Both look healthy. The seed that is the cross is named Scooby. And and bagseed is shaggy. Male names but hope for females. I believe they are and the third is male. Males seem to lag behind females from seed. And this thing is growing sideways in its cup its wierd.

pics are of shag and scoob. Will take a pic of the one believed to be male she it finally decides its going to start towards the light.

critical rapido seeds have been dispatched from the attitude.

shag and scoob still going strong. Both have red stems but I think I overwatered a little during the first days.

heat stress from having them to close. Bought a little ac unit temps are down.

good growth so far. It is only day 6 since these little ladies saw light for the first time.

Awesome brother, I am a day or two behind your growth. First light on the leaves on the nov 18th about 9:30 pm. I am building the grow box tomorrow ... And a dog house lol BUT! I will share pictures as soon as time permits she is in a hidden area and I am only going to veg for 30 days then flip only going that long because I am hoping to get a clone or two. my grow method is different but our lights will have about the same out put, are those the 3000 lumen hid 12v lights?
