Cfl 2nd grow (northen light)

hi all, am om my 2nd grow now and am going to use just 10 cfls 5 at 24watts and 5 at 20watts in a space 83cm high,71cm wide and 42cm deep. am in week 3 was thinking ov startin 12/12 within the next week.
i dont ph my water as most soils we use u dont need to ph your tap water my tap has a ph of 7.8 and runs out the bottom at 6.2to 6.4. just remember to let it stand for a couple of days, if you live in a hard water area when using un ph-ed water it is a must to add so epsom salt.
pls remember that all this comes from my own experiances!
am using 5ltr pots and these are there final pots, temps between 73f to 82f,humidty between 55%and 70% depending on when i water, i water every 4 to 5 day!
i use a 120mm pc fan for my outlet and a passive inlet, medium is bio-bizz allmix, nute bio-bizz range!
am not a exculsive cfl user i do hav a hps aswell but for this grow its just cfls!
all my plant were germed using paper towel method on the 19/12 and within 36 hour all were in there pots.

I also use Hps and usually do big grows... trying cfl's aswell because of energy & experience .......

I think i might just restart to day aswell with 1 white widow... when my 200 watt blue spectrum nlite arrives they will ready to be planted and put underneath the blue 200w nlite....

tonite there getting there 1st taste of nutes at 1/4 of the normal amout then it will be uped every watering till full amount is reached, each plant will get 600ml at each watering

where you living in ? Europe ?

hey Zed....nice steup...obviously works pretty well....young ones and the bigger plant look very nice! how long did ya vege that larger plant....you said 4 weeks flower.....looks really nice!

30 days give or take a few, but thats now under a 400w hps, the little ones are going to get 1 more weeg vegg then i start 12/12! am trying keep these small, yeild is not my goal here, well not really i just want to see what the cfls would give me in the space this small, there five in there now but am expecting a min of 2 males, just got luck with the bagseed(the big one) thank for droping by tahoe!

hey all! i`ve changed my mind AGAIN! this has happened many times now in the last 2 or 3 months.
one of the main ones being lighting of my grow area, everybody has there opions and thats a good thing,all lights have there own benifits but all hav a downside.
when growing with cfls it wise not to get carried away by yeild, think small plants,small space which cfls are great for, am refering to household cfls.
but theres always a but... lol once these grow have finished i am goin for a 250w mh for veg and a 250w hps for flowering am goin to have a small area with 2 cfls in for a mother plant, this setup would be more cost effective then most and should produce a average to good yeild without breaking the bank!!!!
finding the ight srain to grow is one of the most important things to think about when using a setup like this becaues it going to cost you more to grow from seed all year round.once you have found your strain pick the best female plant to keep and be mother plant, now watch the cost of your grow drop.
lighting times vary, a dark or rest period for your plant can be a good thing, by increase the root mass which helps the change over to 12/12 and a quick response to the change by the plant, i personally like 18/6!
am only growing for myself, like most of you, i do want a good yeild but i dnt want to have to the leccy company for my weed, and i like to know what i am smoking!

ok lol!!! i was abit toasted last night and was thinking out aloud, but as i use the cfls, day by day i getting convinced that there a waste of time, there ok for 1 or 2 plants thats about it. if you really want to use cfls use the envirolites or ecolight!

i wouldnt grow with cfl's from a walmart shop anyways.... i mean i have the nlite's lets see how they do.... i know there crap... but crap needs to be tested by someone... and to honest i am that type of person that needs to see for himself...

ok it day 3 ov 12/12 for this grow and there still ok, heres a few pic.
i also have just started to build my new grow cab i`ll be nice and leave you with some dimensions (hxwxd) 6ft x 2.2ft x 2.2 ft , got myself a cooltube and a 100mm inline fan but this goning to be for my new hydro setup,still thinking of which hydro setup to go for? lighting is going to 250w mh and hps!
its only for 4 to 6 plants, i`ll post some pics when it finished.
