CDL and MMJ card?

I'm a caregiver for a patient. I can't smoke due to my job as a route driver. I'd like to get my card so I can donate to the dispensaries, but am leery that it might disturb my CDL. Does anybody have insight into this issue. I'm in Washington.

Be very Careful, you are on a list of "qualified" drivers, qualified by the state you hold the CDL from.
very easy for them to cross reference that info.
it could be an immediate loss of permit or maybe they will use it as leverage down the line.

look at NYC and carry permits for guns, (almost impossible to get in NYC).
they found a way to look at people's mental health records and if a person was taking an antidepressant they are knocking on the door and taking the permit and all weapons and accessories.

Somehow NYC says they are not infringing on HIPPA, but they are crossing lists of names....
they say they are not breaking any laws bedpcause they make up laws like the NY safe act.
I don't live in NY, but if it can happen in "The Big Apple" it can happen anywhere.

Good Luck, I commend you for wanting to follow the rules, it's a good thing but the Govt will use it against you if they feel the need.

I am not anti Govt, I am Pro Govt after Repairs!

Thank you. I figured something like that would be the case. I'll just keep it the way I his now. Maybe have the patient I'm growing for drop it off. Just wish he was less of a simpleton. Yeah unfortunately getting a recomendation just isn't in the cards right now.

Don't even worry about it. Especially if you don't use. The doctor's recommendation is not connected to state database officially and even if you go get your state card from department of public health, they tell you that they do not keep any info once the card is made except the card number and photo, which means whatever record exists (since nothing is truly really erased anymore) is inadmissible in court. And even if (stress the 'IF') California DOT knew about your card, unless you get a DUI while stoned, that cannot be used as grounds for taking away your CDL. As far as state of CA is concerned, you're not doing anything wrong and penalizing you for it would open doors for some pretty interesting lawsuits.

I'm in Washington. But still I don't trust that it would be kept unreported. I'm afraid the gov. is out to screw us any way possible.

Isn't your avatar the old school hunter d? That's badass.
It's newer version of D. As far as I know all the concept art has been designed by the same guy. Yoshitaka Amano. He's been doing the concept art for the author and creator of D's books and movies (Hideyuki Kikuchi) since the early 80s. Along with several other projects written by the author. He usually does some of art work for the Final Fantasy games as well. His particular style is present in most of the games and you can see it's influence heavily in FF6 through the character portraits. Just google his artwork and then go through some of the Final Fantasy artwork by him. They guy's pretty much a Legendary artist in that scene. More or less the Asian Stan Lee
If you like that particular Avatar then check out a movie called Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust. The animation is superb. For the full experience I suggest having one hell of a surround sound system and cranking it up while it's playing. It'll rattle your house. If you're a book nut the novels have been translated into English and you can find the paperbacks at any bookstore for like 8$ each. The first novel covers the original movie and well we all know how book to movie goes. The book explains a whole lot of stuff that just seems kinda random. Particularly a lot of the people/creatures he throws down with. In the movie they were just thrown in and given an appearance.
Sorry to post off topic. Saw a chance to let the nerd surface :-P
