CBD Grows and Testing

Methadone can be a nightmare. Don't even think about starting it unless you plan on taking it the rest of your life. It's half life is so long that it builds up in your system, especially when your stacking doses. After it builds up a lot of people start experiencing very uncomfortable side effects. If you ever want to get it off it, it can a year or more. It's a pretty nasty med IMO. I'd try my best to stay away from it.
The half life is why we switched...he kept barfing up his dilaudid.
I think the low dose methadone is way better than daily dilaudid....just from our own experience.

From my experiences with opiates, dilaudid included, I found MS Contin to have the least side effects with decent pain relief. But as with all opiates your tolerance will build and you will require more and more mg's to achieve the same relief. I understand different meds effect people different ways. It would be wise to get several different opinions and do your own research about all the different pain meds. Try reading about about other peoples experiences with Methadone, not many people recommend. Good luck I know it's a tough situation, hope everything works out.

Thanks...not too many patients use methadone as a pain reliever. Information is key, that's why I try and engage in conversation whenever possible.
Your input is appreciated.

I agree with you leaf...it's a great pain reliever. I think my problem with it may have been all the other crap they had me on to counter all the bad side effects....that snowball thing.

I was prescribed Methadone for pain for 5yrs. At first I was very satisfied with it, then after my system began building up massive amounts of the med the awful side effects started. You really can not stop it from building up because of the extreme long half life. I was on a fairly low dose and I did a very fast taper and it still took me 6mos to taper and another 6 mos before I started to feel normal again. It's funny, you don't really notice how foggy and out of it you are on Methadone until you stop using it. Please be careful and at least consider other meds. GLGL

What's considered a low dose? I was given 30 ml twice a day ( I think). I took it for 4 months then dumped it down the sink and went back to morphine.

Circling back to the Harlequin post on the first page. No need to test this stuff imo. I've tried a few buds after harvesting the first one. It's a complete body stone and a light/clear head stone, you can feel a body rush of it 3-4 minutes after a puff, last heavily for about 1/2 an hour, then a couple of hours you're just relaxed all over, makes you feel like gumby. Should be great meds in edibles, tried a tea and it was even stronger than smoking it. Closest I've had to this was some Bubba Kush which must have had some CBD, but the effects of this Harlequin is that x5 easily. If you have an opportunity to buy or grow some, definitely recommended. Got 2 nice phenos from 4 seeds and looking like about 4-5 zips from 4 small plants with no training. Have clones going from the 2 keepers and with some training I can see these producing 2.5-3 zips each in 3gal pots, not a bad producer, will definitely be in my cycles for a while. They grow and clone easily too if anyone's considering growing them.

Ketamine infusions seem to do the most good...just wish we could have more than 6 a year.

My knowledge about K is pretty limited but I have read about some of its medical uses lately. There seems to be some potential in it. Could you explain a little more about the process and procedure with K? Thanks

Thanks for the info. My Good Medicine from Bodhi are a Harlequin cross. Wish I could access a pure cut I wouldnt need to test.

Yeah this stuff is legit. Just pulled the remaining 3 Phenos from this run and tried a sample from another pheno with the same intense body stone.

For reference these were Harlequin BX4 from BC Bud Depot. I've had good luck/quality with anything I've run from them and these were no different. All seeds popped and grew out, keeping the 2 best to clone runs.

Sure...Canada is somewhat involved in K treatments. Not nearly as much as Australia, Germany, Denmark, USA, and Mexico.
In Ontario OHIP allows 6 infusions per year. Very short duration infusions, say 2-3 hours.
The patient is in a quiet room with a nurse, the K is given intravenously often with anti nausea and anti hallucinatory drugs.
Basically the K "wipes" the brain's memory of pain. It's a very trippy experience.
The benefit of the K varies...it takes my son a day to recover, and finds some relief for 4-6 weeks. It is only partial relief, but some is better than none.
Other countries offer a 5 day session, 8 hours per session...from what I have read this is a lot more effective. Benefits lasting 6 months are not unheard of.
A couple countries offer a week long induced coma treatment. Controversial and really only intended for patients with little or no quality of life.
