CBD and Psychosis

As we all know, CBD has been known as having antipsychotic properties but nobody had shown how. Well, thanks to Kings College London, that unknown is known after they gave one group of people with psychotic issues a single dose, quantity unknown, of pure CBD and another a similar looking placebo and observed the effects in an fMRI as "simple tasks" were carried out.

A group without any form of psychosis were given the same tasks, without the CBD, to be a "baseline" and the scans showed, without any doubt, that the group who took CBD had the abnormal brain activity associated with psychosis reduced to almost the same level as "normal" people.

This is obviously a major breakthrough, and is leading to a more complicated and longer term study to see how long the effects last with the aim to develop antipsychotics based upon CBD instead of the various poisons and the side effects that go along with them.

Another kick in the nuts for those who claim that no form or extract of cannabis is beneficial, and another one in the back of the net in favour of, in this case, the benefits of compounds derived from this evil drug the morons in assorted governments keep telling us about.
