Cat Poop in the Planter

So I found cat feces in the planter right under a flowering plant. I’ll save you how pissed I am that people can’t control their pets and cut to the chase. Does this ruin the plant? Any advice on what to put around the area to keep the cats tf away?? !

The plant will be fine as long as you take the poop out.

Thanks Joe. I mixed up a nice citrus peppermint juice to give him the middle finger and exchanged some of the soil out. Asshole cat.
Now nice of you...I'd probably sprinkle cayenne pepper or cinnamon all around the plant...get a whiff of that kitty cat.

I understand your outrage, I had a cat in my yard once (It's quite traumatic). She likely mistook your plant for a small sprig of catnip. As for the plant it's complete rubbish now mate, toss it in the bin!

Outdoor cats carry numerous nasty diseases. It's not about trauma, it's about respect. People need to control their animals better.

The good news is cat shit is high nitrogen. The bad news is cat shit is known to carry toxoplasmosis, a potentially harmful parasite to people.

Although, I suspect there is a room mate situation in this story and the cat shit is the tip of the iceberg. Perhaps you should eat some cat food (to disguise your feces) and shit in the middle of your room mates bed when he/she isn't home. Then feign ignorance and see what happens. Please keep us informed. Meow.

Toxoplasmosis (tok-so-plaz-MOE-sis) is a disease that results from infection with theToxoplasma gondii parasite, one of the world's most common parasites. Infection usually occurs by eating undercooked contaminated meat, exposure from infected cat feces, or mother-to-child transmission during pregnancy.

just make sure you never consume undercooked cannabis and that you didn't play with the poop, and you will be fine.. so will the plant...

Not a bad assumption, but no. The wife was just as pissed as I was. Hopefully I’ll have an update on the cat being dead soon. Stay tuned.

Cats tend to bury their feces so you should really get some chicken wire or something to put around the pots. If you do not follow this advice, you may find a cat has dug into the roots of your plant.

Your plant is fine but Toxoplasmosis is nothing to take lightly. Make sure you wash your hands after handling the poop. I took this photo at work of a patient who had a toxo infection of the eye...the area on the left is where the parasite has eaten away at the walls of the retina.

I took it out with a harden shovel and replaced all the soil around it plus added some bat guano. It was only buried about an inch if that. We’re goijg to snag some chicken wire from the today
