Caregiver in California help.

I plan on growing my six mature plants outdoors this summer. A good friend of mine who is also a mmj patient has nowhere to grow his own medicine. Can I legally become his caretaker and grow his six at my house also? How do I go abbot doing this legally? Anyone know? I do not want to be arrested for having too many plants. Thanks guys.

To be a Caregiver you have to provide more then just medicine to them.. You have to provide other types of care. Maybe do some research for how to start a collective? I grow for myself.. both my grandparents and a co- worker. How I have it setup.. is each person has a tent with a copy of their rec hanging on it . I keep no more then 12 immature or 6 mature in each tent. So my 2 veg tents have 2 recs with 24 vegging immature plants... and my 2 flower tents each have a rec hanging with 6 budding plants in each .. this is the way I do it.. Not sure if its the best way to do it..

I just know that to become a "caregiver" you have to provide more then just cannabis in California . Good Luck

[h=1]Primary Caregiver Responsibilities[/h] A primary caregiver is a person who consistently assumes the responsibility for the housing, health or safety of the applicant (patient). This may be an individual or the owner, operator or employee of an appropriately licensed clinic, facility, hospice, or home health agency. As a primary caregiver you cannot apply for a card for yourself. Your patient must apply for you. Your responsibilities are:

• Provide proof of identity. See “Proof of Identity” under “Applicant(Patient) Responsibilities.”
• Be prepared to be photographed. See “County Program Photographing” under “Applicant(Patient) Responsibilities.”
• Complete and sign the “Primary Caregiver Declaration” portion of the Application/Renewal Form.
• If you work for more than one qualified patient you must reside in the same county.
• If you no longer work for a qualified patient, you must return your MMIC for confidential destruction to the county program that issued the card to you.
