Carbon scrubbers

So do the carbon scrubbers that are advertised on here work well. I have made one but I need a bigger one, and whenit comes to buying a fan and then the parts to build it seem eisier to me to buy one of the units that is already set to go. So has anybody bought one and if so how do they work?

I wouldn't use those. they have an electric motor instead of ball bearing motor. Fire hazard!!!!! Get an inline fan from fantec,eclipse, or can fan. And get the foothill filters that are black... those are refillable. aeroscrog makes good filters but dangerous design. and not refillable. GL

Oh I forgot to answer your question all the way. You place a duct to the fan pulling air through the filter and out the duct. Filtering all stank odor through the carbon. Usually a black substance found fairly cheap at pet shops and hardware stores. EFFECTIVE. IT doesn't mask the odor . So if you got some stinky pets then this is your answer.
