Carbon Filters

I'm not going to DIY on this one so what is the best value cost effective but not lacking quality. On EBAY the foothill filters are inexpensive. Is that due to a lack of quality? Odorsok? I don't know I don't want to spend crazy money but I want to make sure the job gets done right.

Any Suggestions

Yeah it's a carbon filter http://stores.ebay.com/FOOTHILL-FILTERS

What about Ozone generator like this for 89.00 dollars from HTG

The C.A.P. OZN-Jr Ozone Generator attacks and neutralizes odor. It eliminates odor caused by smoke, mold mildew, pets, cooking and damp basements by generating ozone (O3) - one of the most powerful oxidizers available. O3 doesn't just mask odors, it neutralizes odors at the source, then harmlessly converts to CO2 and oxygen.

To be honest I've never heard of that company.....You might wanna google their name and find a forum on it and ask some people if it eliminates plant odors.

i have a carbon filter from HTG and it did alright on my last grow.. but i'm 3 days into flower and it reeks already. It lasted about 1.2 years. I'm going to replace it with a CAN this week.

a year isn't bad the damn fans are what is expensive. I read around and it says 108 cfm's should cover my 12x5x9 room but with filter resistance that just seems weak to me. What do you guys use or recommend or advise against?

I use a 454 cfm to cool my light and pull through a filter.

For a 540 ft^3 room you are going to want a fan that does 400-500 at minimum i bet... to consistently clean all the air in the room.

Well stunned, I'm about in the same boat. I have been looking at the fans and filters. Both are pretty expensive, at least the fans you can use for years, the filters go bad. My room will be 8x5x6, and I have a 2 differant air purifiers I will be trying. One generates O3, its called an alpine. One of these http://www.alpineairproducts.com/?action=Products&Product=4 . I'm also going to be tryin one of these, though this might be temporary, its being sold on ebay, http://www.filterqueen.com/air-filtration-systems.html#def , its the thing called a defender at the bottom. I hope that these, mostly the alpine(cus I might not have the other long) will take care of the smell. If not, I will have to figure out how I'm gonna run a carbon filter.

Nice you will have to let me know how that does on the odors. I am moving from an indoor closet to a larger garage room so I now need to think about odor control.

I'm tryint to find a carbon filter I'll even be able to use. I am going to be venting out through my light hood, so I don't have a way to put one inline, unless I add another exhaust fan, and I'd rather not do that. I was also thinking about trying a filter I saw in Hightimes, you can order off the net, its a carbon filter with a fan built onto it. Its refillable once the carbon runs out, and its not inline, you would just run it in the room to move air, and filter it. It was only like $99, so I thought about giving it a try.
