Carbon Filters for Bongs? +rep for answers

Are they safe? pros and con? can anybody point me in the direction of a good site to read up on them? something about smoking through coal just doesnt seem that healthy ya know?

It'd be no less healthy than drinking filtered water, which also uses activated carbon.

I think it would filter out some THC too. I wouldn't do it.

thats what i was thinkin too....plus i imagine it getting clogged alot....y i hate pipes with small holes

I don't know why someone would want to filter weed. I can't make sense out of it.

I have an old pipe, had it for like 15 years. Looks like this:

holy shit, ive got the same thing, but i use a screen, it has detachable parts that make cleaning it for resin a breeze.
