Carbon filter

The ventalation for cooling runs straight to the main floor of my house. Need all smells eliminated.

How well will this work?

How big of an area you using?<--the whole room? That thing is too small! 170cfm??(on full-blast-->loud). I 'd think for you to look at a Can 50(minimum) with a 440+ cfm fan unit, use a Speedster to slow it down a bit(quieter too) until you dial it in where you need it to be. I'd really go bigger than the can 50 too, and surely not 4"; go 6" minimum. Go bigger than you need; you know how that goes..........

AI got a 5x5x6.5 area and I do what the guy above me said I boguht the htgsupply.com $199fan and filter combo........424 cfm, more than pleanty for my little area ,works like a champ, a little loud but get controls on it and you are fine...
