No. Those are carbon filter pre-filters. All that does is keep dust and debris from your grow room out of the carbon filter itself. You periodically wash or replace the pre-filters.

You need an actual carbon filter for odor removal. The pre-filter is simply a protection layer.

thanks i was thinking so as well. i will use this https://www.amazon.es/Haquoss-carbo...ywords=activated+carbon&qid=1588110508&sr=8-2 . thing is it's to use on my bathroom on the building vents bringing air in and out...can't make the neighbourhood stink can i ehehe....i think i will just put a net and a bunch of these pellets in ...you think it should block the smell from going outside the house ?

That’s not going to do much at all. If you are looking for something inexpensive, then get an a carbon filter that is built for the job like this.

i don't have a tent i have the plant in asmall bathroom where it's locked from the rest of the house and no window only 2 vents one pulling air in other out ...they are built in the wall so that filter isn't going to work i think using the pellets and filling the hole with them would work much better ....sorry for the bad english maybe Xd
 
these are the vents , there is another one on the bottom. behind the grid there is a hole and i think filling it up with the active carbon pellets should work right ?

I also got this ONA BLOCK for outside of the bathroom...you think it should prevent the smell from going to the rest of the house ? it's pretty powerful smell it has

Yes, but it provides more surface area for scrubbing the air. You’d be better off getting a filter like the one I posted, a 4” exhaust fan with good CFM, and just let it scrub the air in the room. If you just fill a bag with pellets, and stick it in the vent, it isn’t going to do much at all.

I think you are underestimating how strong cannabis plants smell when they are in flower. Without proper air filtration a couple of plants will make the entire house smell and it will waft out into the yard, too. My first grow was 4 plants in a 2nd floor bathroom and I could smell the plants outside, at ground level, on the opposite side of the house.

The only person who can decide what works or not is yourself. I've not used ONA or pre-filters as a mechanism to eliminate odor. I only use proper carbon filters, attached to good inline fans, so I suppose my experience is limited.

You must weigh the benefits to the potential consequences.

The better the plants you grow, the more they will stink. If potential incarceration is a result of what you're doing, I wouldn't cheap out. Otherwise, test things as desired.

not really a big possibility to go to jail iv grown before without any issues. im growing only one plant atm and im letting it grow...been veggin for a couple months now so it will have a lot of budds yes and the mother plant was a really huge stinker! so im being cautious now. i just dont see how buying that filter will be any better than filling the wall vents with the pellets... the air only comes through there the wallas are thick and no window only a door which will have the ONA block outside...i will try like this for now and if it stinks too much i will have to see what. i do...but those filters work by letting air pass thorough the active carbon right ? nothing else right?

Anyone know if this is iron deficiency or maybe stress ? not sure what it is tbh...maybe the soil sucks as well its store bought...feeding it banana tea only .air is good and temps

yea i thinking that since im using tap water with ph around 8...but ill start using bottled water which has PH of 6.5 from now...u think it will recover? also started to grow 3 blade leaves...is it due to stress or heat ? you think banana tea is good enough food for flowering ? I make a banana peel tea with honey and a tiny bit of coffee...
