Hello all..im currently plotting my next grow. This will be the biggest space ive grown in so far and also it will be my 5 grow. In the past i never had to use carbon filters..let alone any type of exhaust. My question is, if i were to put a carbon filter attached to a fan in my closet not connected to any duct work or anything will it still work? im sure it would but then again, i have no idea since ive never used it..

im asking this because i cant cut holes into the door of the closet because i live in an apartment. pleaseee let me know. thanx

I always presumed it would work, just not be as effective as it will be sucking in random air in the cupboard rather then all smelly air with no chance of clean air if you cut it into a door but like you I cant cut into my door eithier so yeah...worth a shot

Buy a cheap replacement door to cut a hole in. Then when you bounce, slap the old one back up. Can you exhaust to the attic or a crawl space? A small hole up there is easily replaced and patched with a can of spackle. What the landlord don't know, won't hurt him.

that would be smart to get the fake door...but i dont really want any extra attention to the door..my girl has her friends over alot n u kno how girls are..."i wonder whats in this closet with the fan running" lol

ill probably do the hole into the ceiling...hope there arent any rats or mice in there...i live in a tower style apartment..my skin is cringing thinking about that shit..maybe roaches ewww..ok, maybe im jus high lol

thanks doe

yeah, the filter won;'t be running at full effectiveness unless it is directly between the room and the exhaust. the idea of going straight up with the exhaust is the best i've heard so far.

i had a friend that had a closet grow in an apartment once. he cut a hole in the top of the door for the exhaust, and covered it with one of those hanging shoe racks. worked perfectly.
