Hey guys,

I'm looking to save some money on electricity so I was planning on putting the carbon filter on a timer for every 15 mins.... do you guys think that would be a good idea?

What kind of carbon filter is it? If its attached to your exhaust fan I would not recommend it. Don't wanna suffocate your baby girls. Fresh air. Also constant on/off is no good on the fan. If its one of those air purifier thingies that uses carbon I guess that would be okay.

There are probably other things around the house you can be doing to lower your electricity use though. Fans/carbon air purifiers dont use too much kw/h compared to bigger stuff that you can reduce or change use with.

Yeah I unplug everything Im not using. It took a while to get use to but I definitely notice a difference. Also check your local companies website theres certain times of day where kw/h is cheaper so you can schedule your lights on/ other major elec usage (washer, dryer, dishwasher) around those times. Just leave that exhaust fan going and let your girls breathe :D
