carbon filter air flow

just got a 6" carbon filter and i cant believe how heavy/massive the thing is. my questions is does it matter which direction the airflow goes, can i blow air through the filter or do i need to suck air into it? does it matter i have a feeling that if the air was being blown into it the carbon would clog the pre filter but i might be wrong

It doesnt matter...both work equally well......it is designed for air to be sucked through it...but only because the prefilter is on the outside....but both ways work great.....
