Caramel Kush & Sativa Strain! - First Grow!

Hey everyone, first time posting on this forum and first time growing:

I am growing 2 Caramel Kush and 2 Unknown Sativa Strain:

Started them off under 400w MH (because my CFL was still coming) for like 2 weeks in seedling stage then moved them to 130w CFL until Veg now they are back under the 400w MH (18-6) each in 12litre pots - They are all 2months old from seedling (the caramel kush in the top left of the last photo had some problems thats why its smaller than the rest)

Nutes:
- Bio:Juice Grow
- Canna COCO A+B
- Canna Rizotonic
- Floralicious Plus

The plants are all LST'd and Topped

Can anyone give me some feedback and advice on when to flower - (btw my tent is 160cm length 160cm high and 65 cm deep)

Thanks!!!

Welcome to RIU!

They look good. You got them nice and healthy. I grew caramel kush from 00 seeds and it looked exactly like that one with the fat leaves. Caramel kush did not really respond as expected with topping and lst. It grows very large stems that don't bend well. I think it would be better for a sog. One big single cola and I'm a big fan of topping, super cropping, and lst. I like em bushy. It does taste delicious though. Caramel/toffee with almost chocolate flavors come right out. It's also has dense hard buds, but the downside is it's not a big yielder. To get any kind of weight from it you'll need to veg it for a long time.

You might not get a ton of replies, but it's only because I haven't seen too many folks growing caramel kush. So don't let that discourage you, it's good smoke in the end. Keep me updated on your progress.

Good luck and happy growing
:peace:

Yeah believe it or not but the caramel kush is at a 90degree LST! plus its topped which legit dident do anything cause its sooooo dense
What lights etc. were you using for your Caramel Kush grow and how many grams did you get?

I got a cheesy headband seed free w/ the CK have you had any experience w/ the cheesy headband strain?

Also could you recommend any easyish strains to grow with decant/high yeild.

Thanks!

Yea, I'm not saying it won't bend, it's just not the best. Look at your sativa, see how it's all over the place(in a good way) caramel will take a hell of a lot longer to get to that point is what I'm saying.

I believe at the time I had it in a 2x2 tent with some others and it was by far the slowest growing and least yielding plant in there. I used and 150 hps and got about an oz off of just that one plant.

I still have bubblegum from 00 seeds and it's one of the easiest plants I've grown in a long time. High flower to leaf ratio means even trimming is easy:hump: so if you're looking for easy growing and yet still quality smoke, with a decent yield I'd check that out. Oh, and it's only like $7 for a single fem seed so you can't really go wrong.

Here are a few pics of the bubblegum I've got going right now

Yeah, what i meant by 'believe it or not its 90degree'd LST' is that its LST'd and looks normal cause its so damn bushy.

Omg thats massive, how long has that been in veg for??
Whats the avg. yield you get off the bubble gum?

How much longer do you think i should keep all the plants in veg and it seems im running a little bit tight in space on the sides the plants are touching each other/the walls

Kinda bummed that the caramel kush is a low yielder especially cause i took clones and have 4 more seeds growing

I vegged bubblegum for a while, around 3 months, maybe a bit longer. I have a veg tent so I keep a big plant going for at least 8-10 weeks while the other is flowering.

No need to be bummed out bro, it's really good smoke. It might not be a large yielder, but it's not gonna be a low yield. I'm didn't mean to make it sound like that. Let's call it average yield instead of low. I was just looking for a large yielding plant at the time. So by those standards it didn't make the cut, but if I were looking on quality and taste alone. I'd still have it in my garden.

I would veg them out for like another month, but that's just me. You can flip whenever you like. That's really up to you, but the longer you veg, the larger the yield. You look like you have room to veg them out a little bit longer.

Ok, yeah.
So veggining that bubblegum for so long will give you how much yeild avg.?

Also how many plants would you say would fit in a 1.4x1.4x2m tent and what kind of lighting would i need (probably veggining for around 1 month)

Ive woken up this morning and the sativa plants have just filled out and made a nice thick even canopy!! and the caramel kush is pushing thru some lower growth to the top.

Most strains these days flower for 8-10 weeks. I've never grown cheesy headband, but the best way to learn about a strain is to grow it.

12-16 oz but remember everyone's yield will be different so don't go banking on that. Being that you're new to growing I would focus on learning how to grow healthy plants and not worry about yield so much right now.

You could fit about 4 plants in that tent with a 1 month veg. As far as lighting goes a 600 will do great but if you can keep it cool a 1000 watt light would really kick ass.

Ok thanks,
I think ill go with 2x 400watts because i already have a 400watt.
Theres no way id be able to keep a 1000watt cool omg

Well in that case, go with one more 600 and you'll have 1k! just a thought...

You could use a 400 MH and 600 hps, that would give you a killer spectrum.

Oh you can have both isnt hps for flower only?
Yes and no. Hps is better at producing big buds, bud MH will produce frostier buds. So a combo of the 2 gives you the best of both worlds.

And for the record you can veg with a hps just fine.

do the bubble gum grow quite large in one month? cause if im using the sativa strain im using now i could fit 14-16 of them 1 month veg

This is where i get my lighting.
http://www.voilamart.com/hps-mh-lighting-kits

Only thing is wouldent one plant have more HPS and one more MH? cause i cant have them even
That's why you rotate the plants. it'll will also help to get even light to all the buds evenif you were only using a single light.

Yup, that's why I can't really give you a set number bro, everything depends on what strain you are using and how you decide to grow it.
