Cap Ebb and Grow

I want to get one of these systems to try it out... I currently use a home made RDWC system with 5 gallon buckets. I'm afraid the standard 2 gallon buckets with the cap system are too small... and It would cost a fortune to buy the 5 gallon cap system.

I usually grow my plants between 3-4ft. Can someone give me their experience.

Im on my second grow with the ebb and gro. The first was schwag from seed and a couple grew up to 5 ft with no problems. The yield wasnt all that great but what can u expect from schwa. Look at hellraizer30 and drgreentm thread they know alot bout the unit advantages and flaws(and how to fix them). Their threads will help you further your decision

Check out Titans Flo n Gro system much like caps but bigger buckets and I like the design a little better I just bought one with 2 6 site expansion sets all together ran like $700 or so. It comes with 12 sites which is more than plenty and each 6 site expansion set is around $100 it it said to be able to grow trees though.
Cheers and good luck

i have grown 3-4 footers no problem in the this system, i prefer to keep them smaller (around 2-3 feet) with topping and super cropping. there are quite a few of these systems on the market but i like the cap system and for 380 shipped to my front door im happy. the cap system likes to hold water in the pots after drainage (not a lot but some in the lower buckets), i suggest raising the pots above the control bucket by a couple inches to let the buckets fully drain, i did this easily by buying some 2x4's and 4x8 sheets of plywood and building a platform for all the pots to sit on (see pic) then i took the control bucket and drum and placed it outside the grow room to keep water temps low and light out of the drum ever since doing this the system works great.
