Cant find Tall net pots (aka) Deep net cups

Just find a container you like the size of and drill a bunch of 3/8" holes in it to make a net pot out of it. I did that with a 2L plastic tobacco can and it worked great to move a mother plant in the same sized can growing in ProMix to DWC.

No taper to the can so suck some electrical tape on then twisted it into a tube that I ran around the can then kept going flat to hold it on and cut a hole in a RubberMaid lid it would fit in, Tons of roots in a few days.

Single plant Scrog that gave me 8oz of bud and almost as much sugar leaf and popcorn.

There's no need to go deep like you propose. I always stay an inch below the bottom of the net pot at least. No top feed other than a bit with a turkey baster for a couple days until roots emerge from the pots then the popping bubbles keep them wet until they get into the nute water.

Who needs more roots than this? Different grow using 4 -5 clones in each of 4 5.5" net pots. Not a ScroG.

Call the presses
First time I've seen this. Damn good idea.

I like the RubberMaid tubs for DWC but I think the new ones with the plastic made to stay soft in cold weather screwed up my last DWC attempt a couple months ago. Two tubs with different plants and no roots would grow at all and I lost a couple CBD clones before I took them all out and planted in PRoMix. All doing fine now. Got to try and find the older style or maybe use a different brand but have a bunch of lids for the RubberMaids that I've made over the last 17 years and would have to make new ones. :(

She does try to trick me and it works sometimes, however, the deep pots would allow for side roots off the stem which is a proven good method in soil.
Why dont u get 2 netpots cut out the bottom of the 1st one then cable tie them together so you have 1 really deep net pot??? Just an idea lol

Guttering downpipe drilled with holes, cut to whatever length you require and somehow fix some mesh to the base would maybe work??

your comparing soil to hydroponics. Soil depends on large roots and hydro can do with smaller roots. Thats why hydro grows quicker, the plant saves energy growing smaller roots and grows more up top. You also said you get slime in the shallow net pots. If you cover the top of the net pot with panda film or anything else that blocks the light then you won't get alge growth.
I'm actually looking for shallow net pots so I can conserve my res volume.
