Can't believe this day has come......JOY

After 35 years of worrying about the life altering bust I can now take a deep breath and fully enjoy my smoke as it was intended. I am overjoyed that my state of Colorado has legalized the use, cultivation, and possession of ganja. I'm going to Ouray tomorrow to celebrate with friends, maybe if I get baked enough I'll throw my ice gear on and do a free solo.

Uh dude, I'm pretty sure our governor received a 30 day extension to sign the law into effect. But it's still badass that this was voted in.

Congradulations! I wish I were there! What do you think they are going to do as far as commercial sales? Give out licences for multi thousand plant grows maybe? Sounds like it could be the next gold rush.

I'm sure, like alcohol, it will be next to impossible to license, and very, very expensive.

I hope it makes the feds finally give it a rest. Congrats to CO. I think the best part of the whole deal is that they won't be busting down doors for a few plants- that is such a huge change.

Man that is so cool and I'm so happy for you. The Alaska state constitution protects it's residents too; so having an oz or less is less than spitting on the sidewalk.

That IS true, but one thing I know for certain is this: feds are not going to look for guys growing 6 plants or walking around with a 1/2 ounce in their pocket. They'll be looking for very large growers and transporters as always. I do think it's funny how even after legalization, there is still massive paranoia coming from dope smokers, go figure...lol

In reference to medical marijuana, the head of the DEA said they do not have the resources to go after someone growing a few plants in their basement.

Now there are a lot more people growing.

Why (and how) would they bust down doors for a few plants all of a sudden?
If you are in compliance with state law and don't tell the feds about your plants, you do not have much to worry about.

SO they wait for it to become legal, then they send small groups of agents to all parts of Colorado with the intention of busting them for small amounts. Do you seriously think Obama will spend billions of dollars so they can send me and millions of others to federal penitentiaries for misdemeanors? Have you considered the logistics of such a move? Where would they get their information? WHy would they wait until it is legal? This is the sort of unsubstantiated and ill-considered thought processes which arrive due to an absurd lack of critical thinking. I'm sure there are many articles spewing this sort of information, but there are also many articles which state that the world will end on December 21st. This is why most people do not take stoners' seriously.

So happy ur now not a criminal in the eyes of law, it sure makes the smoke taste even better lol

My wife thinks it's funny but I have been enjoying a rush for 48 hours now. It is really a weird, yet enjoyable feeling. It is surreal. To be able to sit on my porch and LEGALLY take a bong hit, wow.
