Cannaoil. (PLEASE HELP)

Hi, I have wanted to make cannaoil for a little while now but for the life of me I can not find a recipe to make it other than using alcohol or butane extraction. So I was wondering if it was possible to just heat the oil in a pan with the bud and simmer it for a few hours or make it like cannabutter or do I have to heat the oil and pour it over bud in a mason jar and let it sit for a week or so. Im really lost right now so any help at this point would be extremely beneficial. Thanks

hash oil is a chemical change hence why its illegal in amsterdam the method u are describing is used in making cooking oil for use in baking good usually premade box mixes that require iol rather than butter i also recommen doing so in the oven in a oven safe pot keeping the temp at 175 simply so u dont cook off all of the cannabinoids and yet still activate the ingredients just be sure u filter it

I put it in the crock pot on the low heat setting for about six to eight hours, then strain. This method is extremely easy, and my edibles have had the utmost praise for both flavor and potency.

Unfortunately, Mike, I've seen so many different numbers for temps, I couldn't tell you which are the "right" ones. :( All I know is I've never had burns when making it in the crock pot on the "low" or even the "keep warm" setting. There are several threads here on RIU that give the temps they know, and there are many more all over the 'net. I gave up on that part once I figured out how easy and foolproof it is to do in a slow cooker, but I get the results so it's all good in the end.

thc vaporisez somewhere in the 300degree catagory i think not 100%sure but activation and tranformation of the tha to thc takes place fairly low temp in the 150's however i like to keep the CBD, CBN intact which vaporizes at a lower temp than thc so i keep my temp as low as possible

@deserteagle: to the makers of non-edibles, cannaoil often points to bho (or alcohol extraction), you know, the goopy stuff people smoke. (i have been confused by this, as well as 'corrected' in my use of the word 'budder' to refer to the edible kind). that said, i've made canna-grapeseed-oil using the same method as butter, and it's the same (except for the obvious diff in consistency).
