Hey,
As far as I know this is not true. Maine and RI dispensaries will not honor a Mass ID. Would that it were, I would drive there tomorrow. I'll see what I can find out.

Edit: Actually I can not find any verifiable information either way. So stay tuned I guess, I will try to find a verified answer for us.

Them not looking at your records means they are in it for pure profit, i bet you they have like a 5% turn away rate. Right now with the lines so blurred you can get a recommendation for almost anything. Do I care no, because i think cannabis should be legal.

But I don't understand why people go to these for profit "weed" doctors. If you are legit go to YOUR doctor pay a co-pay and get a recommendation written and save your self $180... If you don't have an open and honest relationship with your doctor and he/she doesn't already know you smoke weed YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG! If you doctor is not open to mmj get a new one as then it proves that he/she doesn't not keep up to date on medical journals and I would tell them that to their face when you leave. 200$ is a rip off as registration to the state was set at $50...

The problem is that for instance my doctor told me she would give me the recommendation but the MGH hospital has not issued any guidelines for doctors to follow so she can not fill any at the moment until the hospital decide what's their position on this. In this case I had to go also to Canna Care Docs and get the recommendation. I agree with you they are pure profit and qualify almost anyone who go to their office.

But anyways cannabis is going to be legal here in the next ballot in 2016.

I have insomnia, migranes, tmj syndrome, tendonitis (not really a qualifying condition but I get pain pretty frequently), migrane headaches and anxiety. I used to be a stoner but stopped for years. My PCP would never ever in a million years give me a scrip for mmj. Would he give me tons of ambien, valium and ativan - YUP!

Went to canna-med in Framingham March 2013. Met with Dr. Andrews went over records gave a recommendation. Chronic pain due to confirmed diverticulitis. Renewed 2014. Dr Getz this year also very nice man checked my status see how it's helped and on my way. " if you needed last year you need it this year". Lol! He's cool.

I also went to Canna Care, practically no waiting, counseled, saw nurse, then doc and got certificate. HOWEVER when i tried to register on DPH i found i have no registration number, their reponse is/was that no one has the number and they won't be available for 3 weeks, has anyone else run into this?

My husband has MS and his neurologist is totally fine with prescribing but BMC, like the post above regarding MGH, has no guidelines either so he could not do anything for him.

Canna Care Docs in Worcester, has anyone visited them? My PGP will not give me a reccomendation. I am a diabetic, insomniac with hypertention and acute tendonitis and IBS who gets a script for Benzodiazepine 3-4x a year. I would love to get rid of the ambien and motrin, and... well you get the point. I would just like to use a bit of it now and again.
Opinions welcome!
Thanks!!
I have.Not a problem,very friendly.And I get to keep my percocets,for when I truly need them...:hump:

Thanks for attempting to get the info. It's getting tiring waiting for a dispensary to open here.:wall:

I went to cannacare docs everything went smooth at first then it took for ever to get my reg # I registered with DPH (very easy and quick) but the one thing I don't like is I paid $220.00 to cannacare and $50.00 to DPH not even 2 months ago because it took so long to get my reg# and now I have to do it all over again to renew next month that's not right it's all about the money with these people

Not to be nosey but what's your condition and did you have to bring medical records. What was the consultation like. I'm considering relocating to Ri. I need more details on the system though. Thanks
