Cannabutter questions..

I plan on making cannacookies for the first time for the release of the new harold and kumar Christmas movie. I have made tinctures many times with great success and firecrackers with mild success. I have never made any other type of edible so I need your help. I dont want to waste anything cause lets face it i dont have a ton of money.

#1- My first question is, is a 1/4 ounce of bud good enough for a batch of cookies ? How many grams should I have in each cookie for semi- heavy smokers. (Me and my roomates smoke everyday for the past 2 months about but only a gram or so each night) ... We also are putting in all the keif we have in our grinder which is maybe a gram or so

#2- I plan on making it with a crockpot cause that seems to be the best method. How long should I leave the butter and weed to simmer? I have heard crazy amounts like 20+ hours and I have also heard thats over kill and 3 hours is enough.

#3- I plan on using a regular cookie store bought package and just use cannabutter instead of making them from scratch. What is the optimum cooking time and temp? Is 320 for 10 minutes good?

Thanks for all your help. I love getting high during Christmas time and watching Christmas movies and hope this is a nice get away from school. If you have anyother tips please dont hesitate to let me know.

Hope I can help..

1. 1/4 ounce will be fine. The rule of thumb seems to be an ounce of trim per pound of butter. A batch of cookies from the store should take a stick of butter , a quarter pound.... I would make a half pound of butter in your 1/4 oz of "good bud" because you never wind up with the same amount of butter that you start with.

2. I,ve never used a crockpot always stovetop but I do want to try a rice cooker soon. Is it a problem for you to leave it for longer than 3 hours? I don't think it will hurt and might help so try a 10hr run on low and see what happens.

3. Follow the directions for time on the box. Just don't burn them.

Good luck and have fun. As for any other tips just make sure you have something other than a big ass batch of cookies to munch out on. It turns into a vicious cycle otherwise :)

Hmmm. I think the call would be to make a regular batch first. You want them to be soft but not raw. And not dark around the edges. Get the regular batch down and the special batch will be money.

but trust me on this one MAKE IT FROM SCRATCH!

It's just as easy, sugar, brown sugar, egg, butter, flour, chocolate chips.
