cannabutter - how long after harvest?

So today i harvested my plant, first time doing this.
I held on to all of the fan leaves, stems, and cuttings i took when i manicured them and i have them in a bag.
About how long after can i use them to make cannabutter? does it need to be dried for a long time or no?

You must dry the weed before making butter. It wont be very good butter with just scraps. The better the weed the better the butter.

Smoke some, if you get high it'll be good butter. If not, waste of time. I separated the bud leaves out even though when I smoked her fan leaves, I got high. So I'll use all of it. Don't want to try any stems though.
