Is it possible there is a noxious gas leak near you? Or a blow to the head maybe. For someone who's been smoking for 20 years your pretty misinformed.

Cannabis doesn't affect your motor skills. According to this study in the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs, NO DIFFERENCES were observed in baseline driving or collision avoidance. The only difference is drivers who smoked pot AND THEN were distracted (distracted driving) were more distracted. For both genders. So don't talk on your phone and drive and you will be just like every other driver in baseline tests, even if you happened to be high on Cannabis. Distracted driving is illegal anyways. Let's use science instead of mandated unscientific limits.

The net effect of Cannabis legalization will be safer roads. Even in the study above the only noticeable difference from placebo group in the distracted driving part was that the THC people SLOWED down while the control group did not, and the scientists attribute this to compensation. Well whatever, seems safer all around to me!!!

So the point is don't tell me what I fucking can or can't do. I've been toking for 40 of my 55 years and am quite aware of when I am 'impaired' and unable to safely drive. It doesn't happen often - and I'm a 2 oz/wk guy. I smoke all day, every day, sometimes while I'm driving. If you think you can make general assumptions about a person's ability to drive while consuming cannabis with any kind of accuracy, you clearly haven't been paying attention. Every person has a different experience and a seasoned user will experience nothing beyond a slight buzz from the same joint that sends a newbie for a nap. A random level of THC such as the ludicrous 5 nanogram limit they propose does not correlate to impairment and will not withstand an initial court challenge.

Considering you're in a MEDICAL forum, you might want to rethink that statement. You come off as extremely inexperienced in knowledge on something you claim has been a regular activity for you for 20+ years. PS the ounce a week you claim to smoke is fucking clown shoes to most patients. Get a clue and a bit of perspective. Oh, and some actual info on the subject. So which is it? Are you new to all this and posturing? Or have you been willfully ignorant for the last 20+ years? I'm guessing the former............ especially with someone who says "yous" wtf is that anyway? Many people are too impaired by sickness or pain to drive, without cannabis, hence why we have a medical marijuana program in Canada. Yet you agree that people shouldn't be driving with over limit concentrations, even though you smoke an ounce or more every week.
You don't realize that if you smoke that much your blood levels are probably over 8-10ug when you don't even feel high.
