I have a plant that was unable to receive proper nutes and oxygen because it was water locked, as I noticed first signs of root rot from the stem.. As well as very early signs of new leaf sets coming in yellowish. What I decided was to transplant from 1 gallon to 3 gallon in fox farms ocean soil. I figured they were early enough signs to where new nutrient fresh soil surrounding the plant in its bigger home would even out the issue. I didn't like the other solutions and I caught the problem fairly early. When transplant was complete I slightly watered the whole medium and continued with lighting. Within a few hour the roots were back in great shape and no mold on the stem. Also the yellowing that was coming in went back to green. I've let the soil fan out under lights for about 3 days now and the surrounding perimeter of new soil is drying out, however the original soil from the 1 gallon that was transplanted is still very wet and rooty. Should I water the whole medium again? Any thoughts about what to do about the center of the medium staying somewhat dense wet and solid? The plant did clear up but maybe just because the rich nutrients surrounding it after transplanting allowed it to get some food. Any suggestions on steps to return this to a equal and normal soil home for my plant to function and consume Properly? Any advice would be nice.
