Cannabis Love's 2012 Ghetto Closet Grow

Finally able to grow out some seeds for a personal stash!

The seeds I germinated were from a cross I made with two different bag seeds about a couple years ago. Funny thing is, the parents had all the earmarks of being Sativa's, but these kids are looking like Indica's.

My setup is nothing special, I'm just vegging them in an old TV cabinet with four 23w 1600 lumen 5000k CFL's. The soil is a mixture of MG organic choice, Promix, with some Azomite and diatomaceous earth.

Three days old (the middle pot had a seed that never made it):

Almost two weeks old (I am actually pretty surprised how much they grew in that short of a time):

Pics from today (a couple days older than the ones above). They haven't gotten "leggy" which is good, and side branches are already starting to form :

Bad luck. Both plants in the 12/12 closet were male. I had everything dialed in just right this time, but the odds were against me. Pulled them both. Too bad, too - they were beautiful.

Germinating six new seeds - two each of three different crosses - I should get at least ONE female out of them (fingers crossed lol).

Five of the six seeds cracked and planted. Odds are good that at least ONE of them will be a girl

Three seedlings popped their cotyledons above soil today!

Wow, in just a couple hours two more have just peeked above ground yay!

Another male. 0 for 3 so far This is the worst luck I've had since I started - before, every bean was a female (it seemed,) but I still have five more vegging and about to flip to 12/12 soon. The worst part is having nothing to smoke lol...

Update:

A picture of my grow from last week. The tall one in back is a male, I'll be collecting his pollen to grow out some new seeds. I hope at least one of the five others will be a female. All started on 12/12 a week ago.

Today I have two confirmed females, one male, and two undecided. Yay!

Allright - four out of the five were females! Got my work cut out for me now!

It's so nice to see some budding plants again! They stretched a bit, but I don't care By new years, I'll be puffing my own again!

Well well well! My kid scored some great smoke the other day, said it was called 'girl scout cookies'. Nice head buzz. Packing a bowl last night, what did I find? Yep, one plump seed in the middle! Guess what I'm going to do haha

These plants grow quick! What a difference 12 days made since the last photo!

I'm screwing up this grow. Damn soil, I'm going back to Hempy's after this
