Candelarios' crop

well done man the C99 came out awesome!! 340 is a nice hall man u didnt veg super long right?
so sick, took a look @ the whole thread and when they were babies the contrast between the
two strains leaves was awesome. one really thin and pointy (prolly sativa) and the other mad
thick and like portly. the pics of them as babies looked mad cool next to each other.

well your @ the fun part man. kudos to u + rep for your nice personalized
smoke grow.:bigjoint: well done looks real good.

in the beggining you werent getting much feedback man.. i have same deal with my thread
its kinda like ppl will look but until its budding there like ...meh lol glad you posted through it man
again theyre awesome. ill be checking back for your afghan harvest... prolly gonna be boss
I vegged for abbout 6 weeks, In which the most of the growth happened in the last two weeks up to topping; that happened because during the first 4 weeks I had a very stunted plant because of a then unknown to me nute def. Plant didnt gre giant, but it became very bushy after topping and Im estimating a small but decent yield of 100grams (estimated dry, will update on that), that I can hardly wait for it to dry in order to have a first taste of bud!

Afghan is going good and soon I will update some pictures.

I'll follow your progress man =) Thanks for the support. I think you earn support a bit at a time in this forum, but its nice.

You're well on your way to success Doc!:clap:

I couldn't resist it, so today at 6 days of drying, and now into jars, I took a little bud of C99 and smoked it. She is a hard hitter! My smoke report (although I will probably make another one later)

  • IDENTIFICATION
    =================================================

    Date: 07/17/2013
    Strain: Cinderella 99
    Judge: -
    Breeder: Female Seed's company
    Grower: DoctorCandelario

    =================================================
    PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
    =================================================

    1. Visual Appeal: Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent. [9]
    Uniform green color, nice orange pistils, buds look like they got dipped in sugar

    2. Visible Trichomes: Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered. [9]
    As said before, buds look coated in fine sugar

    3. Use an X to indicate the colors that are present in the trichome heads under magnification or list the percentages of each color for a more precise report.

    Clear [ ] Cloudy [x] Amber [x] Dark [ ]

    4. Mark with X the colors that are present in the buds or for a more detailed color analysis rate presence on a scale 1-9 light-dark.

    Brown [3 ] Green [5 ] Gold [ ] Blue [ ] Grey [ ] White [ ] Red [ ] Rust [1 ] Orange [4 ] Purple [ ] Black [ ]

    5. Bud density: [8] Rate the bud density from 1-10 airy-dense. For samples that are not in their natural state leave this field blank.
    Bud was pretty tight and packed to touch

    6. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the aroma of freshly broken bud where a one indicates a subtle presence and 9 indicates a pronounced presence.
    Delete the existing space when marking a descriptor in order to maintain the columns in alignment.

    Ammonia [ ] Earthy [2 ] Licorice [ ] Peach [ ] Berry [ ] Floral [4] Mango [ ] Pepper [ ]
    Blueberry [ ] Fruit [6] Meat [ ] Petroleum [ ] Bubblegum [ ] Grape [ ]
    Melon [ ] Pine [4] Cedar [ ] Grapefruit [2] Menthol [ ]
    Pineapple [6] Cherry [ ] Grass/Hay [1] Mint [3] Rotten [ ] Chocolate [ ] Hash [ ]
    Mold [ ] Skunk [ ] Citrus [1] Iron/Rust [ ] Musk [2] Spice [ ] Coconut [ ] Leather [ ] Nutmeg [ ] Strawberry [ ] Coffee [ ] Lemon [ ] Orange [ ] Vanilla [ ]

    7. Aroma [8] Rate the aroma from 1-10 repulsive-delightful. Use freshly crumbled bud for best results.
    Maybe because this is an early report without curing, aromas are not yet set. It still smells of grass. However when bud is crumbled and you let it set a little bit, you start perceiving sweeter aromas. Fruity smells dominating, with hints of pine and pineapple. Very pleasing smell.

    8. Seed content [0] Rate seed content from 0-10 none-fully seeded.

    9. Weeks cured [0] If known enter the number of weeks your sample has been cured. If desired repeat SSR after an additional two weeks of curing.
    6 days of drying. First taste of the bud. A smoke report will follow after 2 weeks curing.

    PHYSICAL EXAMINATION COMMENTS: since is for strictly personal use, I left the little trichome covered leaves. They were fully coated.
    ==================================================
    THE SMOKE TEST

    Very pleasing fruity taste, still a bit harsh since lacks curing.

    If appropriate return to this question after 5-10 minutes and mark
    with X any unmarked descriptors for lingering aftertaste.

    3. Taste [7] Rate your impression of the taste from 1-10 unpleasant-delicious.
    I know this one will go up in the next report.

    4. State of dryness [5] Rate the dryness of the bud from 1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal.
    Sticky, not too dry, crumbles easy but does not pulverize like extra dry stuff.

    FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS
    ==================================================

    I wasn't very clear headed, but I felt quite invigorated! It started as a very warm and light feeling on my arms and chest. Very energetic, and yet relaxing. I felt like a feather at times. I started listening to Beethoven and music sounded even more glorious.

    4. Indica influence [4] Rate the indica influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme. Indica influence is best described as a sedative,

That's kinda why I'm doing an Indica dom, and a Sativa dom, because I have several people that like the smoke and play high, and others that like the smoke and crash high.

I knwo its been a long time, but sometimes the working man gets caught into nets of things to do :D

However im concluding this journal (short of posting the smoke report on the Afghan White, which I am going to post propperly on strain reviews for other people to know) I must say that my CInderella 99 was a total success! Aditional curing really brought up the smell and the flavor. Pineapple, passion fruit like smell. Delicous! Quite an uplifting high, I went over the top a couple of times :D I have yet to build tolerance to this baby, the fact is I'll be buying more seeds to have in storage!!

Here is my harvested Afghan White. Pretty small yield, (havent weighted it yet) and buds were a pain in the ass to manicure (too many non-thc carying leaves). But she is smelling very nicely, a mix between pine and freshly ground coffee, with that "afghan" touch.

So after a looon absence I think Im done with thsi grow :D quoting myself on my smoke report, here goes the indica baby!

  • Strain: White Afghan (Bred from an Afghan and a White Widow).

    Growth: Indica dominant strain. My plant didnt grew taller than about 60 cm in height (used a relatively small pot). About 1 month vegging and 55 days flowering (Vegging indoors, flowering done outside, advantages of living in a tropical weather). Bushy, broad leafs, quite resilient.

    Nutes: NPK 25-5-15 during vegging administered weekly. Liquid worm castings during flowering stage, with a couple doses of molasses.

    Yield: About 30 grams fully dry.

    Bag Appeal: green and orange, somewhat dark, sugary tight nugs.

    Smell: smells a lot like hash. Tones of fresh coffee and some skunk.

    Taste: pretty good taste, smoke goes easy on throat and lungs; when smoked tastes like pine, hash and coffee (I love that last one bit).

    The High: 5 days drying. 5 days jar curing and the rest of the time stored in a plastic bag to "draw out the smell" (something I discovered). hard hitting indica high. You start feeling lightweight, then you enter into total relaxation mode. Body feels like lifting, your mind drifts all around calmly. Had some good conversation while on it. When the crash comes, you feel like you have taken sleeping pills and were given a massage by some nice and naked lady. Slept around 11 hours straight after smoking a small nugg. Pretty good for relaxing at the end of a bad day.
