our system is workable, but it will require real oversight, and real consequences for breaking the rules.
It has become more than obvious that neither the house or the senate is to be trusted to police themselves, it seems to me that there should be an ethics committee outside the house and the senate that has the authority to censure, suspend, and fine rules breakers.
And they will vote to have someone else oversee them, yeah, I see that coming. The funny thing is I do not think we have any more rules on how our process should run as you had before Trump got elected.

It's a future road map for dealing with fascism in America, we don't fuck around with losers and traitors. Racists have a hard time here too, so naturally the right will whine, in America they depend on domestic terrorism. Well the right are gonna be treated like the commies of the 50's, at least those with their faces shoved in Putin's ass crack.

Waaa....

Coming from a country that does not believe its election outcomes. In Canada we do not have "The election was stolen.", no Gerrymandering, States (Provinces or teritories) making up rules to favour one side in the election. We have it really rough here.

It’s not the whole country. it is a sizable-enough minority to cause grief however.
American voters largely united against partisan gerrymandering, polling shows
American voters are largely united in their opposition to partisan gerrymandering, according to recent polling conducted ahead of the upcoming once-per-decade redrawing of state voting maps.

Nearly 9 in 10 voters oppose the use of redistricting in a manner that aims to help one political party or certain politicians win an election, the nonprofit anti-corruption group RepresentUs found.

“Partisan gerrymandering is one of the most nefarious forms of political corruption, disenfranchising millions of Republicans, Democrats and independents,” Josh Silver, CEO of RepresentUs, said in a statement. “It’s not hard to see why nearly everyone wants to see this practice banned once and for all.”

this illustrates the disconnect between voter opinion and that of legislators. Imagine if legislative perqs were subject to a popular vote. Which is why it’ll never happen.
