Re-ducted to heat better now. How important do you think keeping off ground is. One room i keep off ground, other new flowering room I haven't done anything to raise them yet but they seem to be doing alright. Heating pads would add to my power bill so not my best option-I run my furnace fan, intake, exhaust fans 24/7 already which normally works but my basement is drafty and cold in the low temps.Have two rooms that work together-200W cfl for veg/400Whps flower, and 2-600W hps for flower in separate room. 400 runs in day, 600s at night.
I've got cold temps in my basement too. If the roots get cold it will definitely slow growth. I too run my flower room at night because of the cold. I only run the exhaust fan when the lights are on. I also run a heater that comes on when the temperature drops below 16 C. (Great Canadian tire gadget that turns on/off power based on what temperature it is.)
I was curious how you use your two separate flower rooms. Do you start flowering all your plants in the 400W room and then move them over to you 2x600W room when they get bigger, or do you just do smaller plants in the one room and bigger plants in the other?

Hey welcom to the club man, I don't think that would be a good idea, because there is not enough light out now, you need at least 18 hours of light to veg and there is no where near that much light out. I'd say no, but you could try it if you want, cfl's are a cheap and easy way to go.

My perpetual cab grow, is ALWAYS done in 16 oz blue party cups. Why is this a contest going on somewhere? I'm In.
Well actually you can, and i know people who do also. HOWEVER....at best if your window recieves at least 12 hours of light a day, and 6-8 of those hours are direct, you can pull off a 12/12 type grow, givin ya, 7-14 g dry per plant. But that's at the VERY BEST.

sounds like its worth a try anyways.. one problem is my room gets cold at night its in the basement...
im using bagseed/water bottle cups with holes for drainage. my soil is going to be from a potted plant but its leaves ae pretty green. any tips on things around the house i can use for my grow
