Hey guys, I'm new to the site...thought my first post should be on the official Canadian thread.

I'm on the North Shore (Vancouver)

Just germinated 6 seeds

2 Arjans Haze #1
2 Himalya Gold
1 LA Lady
1 The Church (still working out it's first leaves, the seed cracked late)

This is my first grow, wouldn't mind the opinion of a few of you veterans. One of my Himalya's is a bit yellow, i'm a little concerned. All seeds were germinated in same soil (starter mix), water and T-5 lighting. No Nutes, just a little Thrive .My first thought was that it had too much water, I likely started in a bit too much soil. Second, the PH might be a little high, my understanding is that North Shore water is between 6.5 and 7 pH. I don't want to add any nutralizing water yet, as the soil is still drying out...maybe 1 more day. I've got a pH meter coming in the mail.

For the first 2 days i had the seedlings 6 inches below lights, now they are 1-2 inches below.

The following picks are 4 days from cracking seed (LA lady is 3 days)

1st - Himalaya's
2nd - Himalaya (yellowed)
3rd - Arjans Haze #1
4th - LA Lady

Cheers

First off welcome to the club. Your yellowing looks like ph prob, too early for them to need nutes. The only thing I can think of unless you're using time released soil. That could be the problem

Thanks hardroc, I was leaning toward pH, it could even be a combination of ph and a bit too much water to begin with...the Himalaya's sister is greener...maybe she had a bit less water to begin with? After another day of drying out...the yellowing is subsiding a bit and i've noticed some growth. That said, I'll add just a little pH down and see what happens...

Anyone else in the Vancouver area have experience with the tap water??
