Hey guys how's it going? Nice to see a Canadian section on here. Starting for the outdoor season now hoping to get some big girls so starting a little earlier this year. Been growing n the backyard off and on for about 10 years now, kind of nice now not to have to worry so much (except for thieves). Last year was a great success (profile pic was last years) ran the usual plant and she turned out great. So this year decided to try some genetics from B.C. Seed Depot, I chose

God Bud
Sweet God Sweet Tooth x God Bud
Shiatsu Kush

Was most excited to try the God Bud but after some research the Sweet God is looking like the horse to bet on. Supposed to be a high yielder and done by mid to late September. Last year we got a lot of rain in later September and early October and had to chop a week or to early because of the onset of powdery mildew. Thank God no bud rot I have experienced that before really depressing to see a nice fat cola that falls apart in your hand. Will keep you guys updated on how things go, going to try a few different things this year. If anybody has tried any of these strains would love to hear about your experiences
You can make a dew shield to assist in mold reduction..4 posts around plant..slanted see thru plastic tied to top of poles..got that tip from a grower from manitoba.. Also..Some growers just use garbage cans..close lid to light dep in june..or take inside to finish without thieves getting a chance.. 10 years outdoor..respect..
Link to guy from manitoba..

He grew monsters.. Worth the read for outdoor

I did the same..100% success rate
That’s unreal. I guess a bubble cloner all you need is like an air stone or something.

I tried a new set of clones in just plain water. Hoping that takes as well.

When using a bubble cloner do the roots just sit in water or do they sit right above the water? And I take it you don’t have a propagation dome on top of them either? So you just mist the leaves a bit or not at all? And no direct light on top of yours I’m assuming?

Would like to note that I pulled one clone out of soil. It’s about 1.5 weeks old tops. I saw the first signs of roots. So I put her back in. Very small nubs. But damn the clone lookes healthy. But she was the ugliest bitch out of all.

Dubas says he can sign all 3.... he will get it done. Nylander can play! If we trade him we will regret it 5 years from now. Kid knows how to dangle! Fun to watch when he’s on his game

I never cut the leaves..no need due water in cloner..i did use humidity dome for 1-2 days. No misting. spring..summer..fall..no heating mat and just in sunny window.. Water was tap water (let sit for 1 day to remove chlorine). Change water every 5 days. Should see root in 10-18 days. Clones were put in cut sponge (slit halfway sideways to allow stems to be placed inside). Clones were always under a little surface water (half inch). Must check if water has disappeared. I have at times placed a led 3000k light bulb on timer at night to ensure no stress and lots of light..

I’m going to try this method after my batch of clones is finished and ruled a success or a failure. I usually use 3000k LED bulb for seedlings. I’ll probably use that same bulb but place it beside the cloner so it’s not giving the clones direct lights. It’s been working for my soil clones which a few have already started nubs. But bags been over a week.

Dollarama have some cheap garden supplies..at this moment..plastic tops fit a 5 gal bucket.
Lol. You in the same dollarama as my wife? She sent basically the exact same photo. Lol.

I think I’m going to move away from domes and just run a bubble cloner. Now that I recall when I use to clone it was under a 23 watt CFL. No dome. Misting 2-3 times a day. So I’m just going to try standard bubble cloner like you. Pretty sure I have air stones already from the pond but just need a new pump. Time for a hunt. But only going to build this project once the clones are rooted or dead. I like the idea of a bubbler cloner holding clones to them veg and having three separate areas for rotation from clone to veg to flower.

I’m thinking I may grow just one single monster plant per grow for flower. I was going to do two plants at a time. But with this grow I’m thinking I can get over 2 ounces dried. Look at this girl. Obviously I’m going to let it veg for a bit longer since there is tons of room still.

I’m going to die some lower branches down as well for some LST. Just didn’t have string.

So far the it looks like it’s going to be Sweet God and Shiatsu Kush for the outdoor season this year. Here’s a pic of two of each that popped their heads through less than two weeks agoF9BD09E9-E4E1-4D07-9881-4C036892724B.jpeg

Oh ya definitely give that some more veg time and it’ll be a monster.
Yeah I’m thinking about filling that tent with just her. Or maybe trying to squeeze two in there. But I think 1 may be the better option. Over 2 ounces dried a harvest I’ll be happy with some clones in a bubbler and let them veg out a bit I could get s nice solid rotation of a couple ounces every few months. Trying to find a rotation that works for my set up. In 2008 I had a nice set up. 8 clones, 3-4 veg, 3-4 flower. Constant rotation. Was perfect. But his op is a lot smaller for various reasons but mainly space constraint.

Pulling the trigger on a 135w HLG quantum board for my flower tent. Finally in stock for 3000k. Gonna give me some nice buds. Now thinking about scrogging the one plant.

Save some money on the power bill and reduce the heat. Specially with summer coming. Even though grown in basement. Happy day for me.
