What really? How much? How many watts?
https://imgur.com/a/ozTmT

That's a link from a reddit user. I saw the lights in store last week but nothing online.

Its low watt, and I wouldn't use it for a large plant but its perfect to place the whole light right on top of a seed starter tray and let her go. I found the light can rest right on the tray and Ive got the shortest fatest seedlings ever, no burn, no adjustment in light height.

A big hello to all fellow Canadian growers! I have no idea how I've missed this thread until now, but no matter, it's been found!

First grow here other than a freebie Dutch Passion Polar Light #2 auto that I planted at the end of May last year thinking I'd be throwing it out on the deck July 1st, but we all know what happened there... So I kept it in a tiny pot, maybe 1.5L and had it sitting under a couple desk lamps with 13.5w and 8.5w 2700k Philips LED bulbs. Tried to get it into a small window for 2-3 hours of sunlight a day. In the end I had a hair under an OZ of wet sugar leaf I used in some baking and 7.3g dried of very nice smoke. I still have the little top bud from that plant in a jar and can't wait to compare it to my current crop! :bigjoint:

So technically speaking this is my second grow, but the first was a zero effort / doesn't really count kind of grow, hehe.

I had bought all the equipment needed to start a small tent grow about 7 years ago now. (JESUS CHRIST TIME FLIES!!!) Life got in the way and it never happened, everything just sat in boxes. Well once October rolled around I started getting excited! Unpacked most of what I had bought years ago and set it up. I'll have to make a grow journal soon as I'd love to share my up's and down's, but for now just a couple pics.

All3.jpg Sharky1.jpg Sharky2.jpg MK.jpg Devil Fruit2.jpg

First one is all three in my little 60x60x140cm DR60.
2nd and 3rd pics are of DNA's Sharksbreath, it's the plant at the back on the left in the tent.
4th pic is TH Seeds' MK Ultra. It's the plant in the front of the tent.
Last pic is of Medical Seeds' Devil Fruit, it's the one on the right at the back of the tent.

Those pictures were taken between days 36-38 of flower. Currently on day 40.

Happy growin' all! :weed:

Great looking fruits so far. So I am gonna go out on a REAL BIG limb here and say this time, you're gonna get way more than just 7.3 g cured bud and 1 oz of shake for baking.

I always thought about that as well with scrogging. Not being able to water the rear plants or having difficulty with it. Thank god I only plant to flower two plants at time. One in the front and one in the rear.
I hope scrogging rocks when it comes to yields cause I am trying a net for the first time. I have grown before with other training methods. From the discussions I have read about SCROG'ing, I am not expecting any of those nice "2L pop bottle" type colas. But I am hoping for several 500 ml water bottle style tops. Time will tell.

They are still getting comfy in their netting but I have counted something in the neighborhood of 50 nicely developing tops between the Red Diesel and Blue Cheese that I currently have in the tent. Each top should be basking in plenty of flowering light once I flip in a couple of weekends.

Skoal - I thought the same thing initially about not being able to move the plants around once they are set into the net. Turns out there really is no need to move them around. Once you clean up the lower leaf and larf below your net, you have easier access to the bottoms and you to be able to water all around the plants .. and you will have good air flow around the base of the plants ... and you will let the plants put all of their energy into developing and beefing up your tops.

I’ll probably clip clones from the bottom before flowering. Defoliate the bottoms and just let er go. I do need a scrog net probably order online that Can clip onto the frame of my tent on the inside.

Im pretty sure it’s lack of light and too much nitrogen but I have thin skimpy buds and lots of DARK green leaves :( I’m getting super impatient (day 72 of a 9 week strain) so I took one of the lowest bud sites to try. It might give me .5g when it’s dry lol

I seem to have missed this thread as well...heres my grow. Sprouted oct 17th....dark angel (cheese x +jack herrer) cropking feminized 4 plants +1 that was flowered to early too small of pot. I dont count it.......plants are flowered under a new $15.99 chinese bulb, chinese digital ballast. Chinese tents, chinese ducting, fans ........everything the cheapest I could find in canada if you want the site pm me dunno if were aloud advertising.
I got exactly a qp off the top 6-8" off the 4 plants started used GH nutes in coco entire grow. Flushes with florakleen once then 6 days phed tap water. Chopped and dried/cured tops(didnt top plants, yet every branch grew to an even canopy) hence the 4 oz top 6-8". Now feeding again going to feed 2ml micro, 2ml liquid koolbloom/2l tap water for another week or 2 and then flush and harvest bottoms
Images. 1. Plants before harvesting tops 2.tops hanging for 2 days 3.buds dry on scale 4. Weight 113.99 5. What's left after 1 week of getting through the shock and starting growing.....will post updates. I say Chinese...I'm aware most everything is made in china. I cheaped out on everything but seeds. Just goes to show you dont need the best of the best. Also my pots are about 1 gallon SQUARE pots about 6" deep and amazed at what I got. Was planning on transplanting to 3 gallon cloth pots and I'm glad I didnt

This late in flowering even if a 'nanner gives off some pollen you'll be harvesting the plants before seeds have time to form. May be tiny seeds starting in some of the flowers but won't be big enough to blow up in your face if rolled into a joint. I sure don't miss that. lol

If you find any mature seeds in your buds then 'nanners started a while back and you didn't see them as it takes 5 - 6 weeks for seeds to mature. About half of the seeds grown from early 'nanners will go hermie too so it's a crap shoot growing them out. When I breed for seeds I discard any seeds that I get off plants that go hermie just so I don't get more.
This is how feminized seeds are made.....I've never had a hermie

Buddy! I know right! I couldn’t tell you.

They germinate easily. They pop out of soil with the coledyons. I even got one so far to show the first signs of pot leafs.

I honestly think I over watered. And under waterered and the light was an issue on the first 2. 400watt MH.

I’m growing in a basement in a tent. I have been using a 60 watt led screw in bulb for the seedlings. And yet shit still died.

Going forward I’m trying this now:

Heater in tent and going on to keep temps around 26 or so. Heat pad for the roots. And the light being close. Also going to put wet towels in front of heater to create that humidity.

I think I can’t just figure out the watering. Some I’ve only watered once and the soil gets so dry that the soil breaks away from the pot. Others I mist very lightly daily to ensure the soil doesn’t get way too dry and break apart from the pot.

I’ve noticed not many people go into detail about the seedling stage. But if I don’t mist soil daily it gets way too dry man. Think I may wait to water until stem pops up. Water once. Put seed in soil. Wait to pop and then water once the stem is out instead of doing a light misting.

First go at growing from seed. I’ve always only done clones.
Is your soul ph'd. Is your water ph'd...if your not overwatering I'd put money on one of those....just think the roots chase the water down...wait until the top inch is dry and by second to third watering should have roots to the bottom of the pot.....pretty simple to keep alive from there

Since I grew my first buds in '78 I've had more than a few hermies.

If you get balls early in flowering that knock up your girls those seeds will grow about half the plants that do the same thing and you don't want that going on in your flowering room so don't use those seeds to grow more plants or you're always going to have a seeded crop.

If very late in flowering you get 'nanners then that pollen can be used to make fem seeds preferably with an unrelated female and not with itself for the same reasons you shouldn't knock up a sibling.

I'm going to get into making fem seeds with silver thiosulfate like the pros do. Have lots to play with. :)

Makes sense use hermie pollin to pollinate a female......thanks for that bit of knowledge.....never thought about that

Not sure you have nitrogen toxicity but I can see light starved. But I am interested to hear your response to Shacks123's question about your grow conditions.

Was that chunk in your pic a lower part of your main canopy or was that some larf underneath?

Anyone here wanna have a guess as to what may be causing this?

Problem plant is 1 of 3 fruit punch, other 2 are perfectly fine.
Atomic is the 4th plant, shes also fine.

vegged for 45 days
Day 34 of flower
FFOF and perilite
Floranova bloom , lucas formula, 8ml/g
600w mh/hps

I asked a few days ago but since then it appears to be getting worse.

I've looked at the various pics online trying to diagnose, I haven't had much luck lol

That far into flower could mean a couple of things. Room temperatures could be low - but since the others have not displayed those same symptoms, that may rules out low temps. Those spots could also be due to phosphorus deficiency. See if this video helps -

Ummm that video seems to be exactly what my issue is. That's amazing lol

Dark green leaves, then it turned yellowish and brownish spots

I'm only halfway through yet, but wanted to say thanks man, I'm pretty sure you nailed it.

So if im understanding that right and it is indeed P def, i wont want to flush the plant, instead ill want to actually feed it a little more P and lower my PH
