Hey all. Just curious as to what you all are planning on doing for your outdoor ladiez... its going to be 0° tonight. We have a frost warning for tonight and early morning.

My question... would a heavy duty tarp placed over them work?

Thanks. I look forward to seeing what others will do.

Plastic tarps aren't the best and they shouldn't touch the plants.Sheets work better but if it rains it weights them down and when they touch it kills.Marijuana plants are pretty damn tough i wouldn't worry to much.We had below 0c mid week with rain and with the wind chill it was -10c and then it snowed.Once the snow was knocked off and they were harvested and thawed out they looked great..never skipped a beat. But genetics play a part in the game and we are very lucky to have been gifted beans from one of rui's rebel heroes that i admire so much.

Thanks for the reply. I decided to put a tarp over them with T-bars at the corners to hold it up and PVC pipe in the centre. I made sure there was no part of the plants touching the tarp.

Its suppost to be -2° by 6am but nice for the rest of the week.

I plan on chopping 1 next weekend then the other the following weekend. There dark angel by cropking.

I live in Ontario as well . I couldn't cover mine due to the size. It seems ok all the leaves are pointing up to the sun. Only has a little over a week left. Tircs are all cloudy

I have decided that i wont be covering them anymore. It took way to much work and was way to noticable with my neighbours. Loud tarps.

If we get another heavy frost and it does hurt the plants will it just affect the leaves? Or will it ruin the buds aswell?
Reason i ask is because i can chop them any time so if its just the leaves ill chop if they get messed up. But if the buds get ruined too then ill chop b4 a frost.

Thanks!

Where about in Ontario? Im in cottage country.

I'm in the middle of southern Ontario. To be honest I really wasn't sure what was going to happen. I've read they can handle a few light frosts. If it hurts or kills your plant you'll know. You'll have no choice but to harvest.

Same here. When i started my car at 4:30am it said it was -7. I went and checked on the girls since i decided not to cover them up. They seemed to be doing good.
I checked when i got home from work tonight at 730 and it was as if nothing even happened.
These are some tough plants! My citrus tree didnt pan out so well lol.

The police have been flying over with planes and choppers alot lately. Im on a lake with lots of woods so they look heavy there. If you only have 2 or 4 they dont bother us. There looking for the fields nearby. You shoukd have heard the sirens all around lately.
Its nuts

I suspect the same thing I only had 2 plants they may have seen them and left me alone i mean shot is almost legal here. I have me medical card and can grow but my outdoor were not fenced in like they are supposed to be.

Not a helicopter in sight this year which is great news as I moved here a year ago and there were lots of them where I previously lived.

i moved mine into the garage, very lucky to be growing in fabric pots with handles, portatbility is key
Same here. She goes to bed in the garage every night now. Have two fans going and have all green lighting so I can still do stuff in there without affecting the plants.

Portable is the way to grow IMG_20160928_2222478-01.jpeg
