It's the Winter Olympics, they better be good... It's one of the only times Canada shines. Soak it up, because once it's over the only thing worth mentioning about Canada is their maple syrup and good healthcare. So enjoy it while it lasts, because it's going to be a long cold 4 years till the next one. ; )

Are we comparing Canada to the US? Because Canada's education is better, standard of living is better, citizen happiness is better, life expectancy is better, have higher average household asset worth, less income disparity, higher social mobility, better bacon, and so on and so on and so on....

You almost had me but then you included bacon on your list. Canadian bacon is nowhere near the quality of US bacon and that's a fact. Lol. And life expectancy in the US is higher than Canada if you take out accidental death and cancer survival rates are higher across the board in the US as well. You can have the rest, I've got no time for 8 months of winter I'm happier without it. : )

Peameal bacon, AKA real Canadian bacon, is the cats ass. Brined, cold-smoked pork loin.

I do still thoroughly enjoy classic smoked pork belly, as bacon too.

I live on the coast, we get... 3-4 months of winter. Usually Dec-Feb, then March is warm and spring like.

I actually prefer canadian bacon when I make a breakfast bagel or english muffin sandwich. Pork loin is healthier too.

But for straight up bacon and eggs it is american bacon for me
Same for BLTs, brown beans, and bacon cheese burgers

its ignorant to think that i didnt like or enjoy things before becoming vegan.
I remember the taste of bacon, chicken, eggs, and cheese
and while i now think its absolutely disgusting and would never go back to eating meat,
