Can you use tops as clones

My 6 week old, 20" tall plants got root rot so bad they didn't make it. Days before the healthiest gave it's last breath, I made clones of the tops... gave each plenty of nodes and branches. Have had good luck with cloning, just never at the expense of a dying plant.

What is the prognosis for their success... provided I follow the tried and true steps of cutting at 45, root jel, rockwool and fluorescents in a prop tray?

Do tops of plants clone well? Any tips?

Tops work just fine. You shouldnt have a problem.
