Can you "top" autos?

Got some trainwreck on the go at the min too late on to top but I've got the same strain to do straight after these and I'm debating roping them if it wouldn't be too much stress for the plant to come back from?

You can do some Low Stress Training, bending of the branches etc. You can gain from this, but make sure that you don't cut (top) any branches, your plant won't have time to recover.

I topped 5 yesterday and will top some more today. I ran across a thread by Uncle Ben and from what I read topping works just fine and should be done at the 3rd node and pretty much as soon after the 3rd node set of leaves develop. I cut mine when they were about 1/2 " or a little less long and snipped them with some sharp little pointy scissors. First run with autos. I have topped many photos, always did. I wanna see. Don't see why it shouldn't increase yield quite a bit. Follow my journal A Bunch of Em This Time... :weed:

Yeah mine are too far gone now but I've got exactly the same strain to do again so I'm going to experiment with mute levels and topping then.
Although LST would be better keep the light closer to the whole thing rather than just the main kola :)
Sweet sweet trainwreck day 33.
