can you sex a plant with the 6500k spectrum and will it smell

hey guys so i have a plant thats about 6 weeks old. (FFOF, 4 lamp t5 lights all 6500k). so i was wondering if its possible to just simply change the photoperiod from 24h on to 12on/12off but...with the same grow light. if i do this will i still see sex and because i plan to transplant it outside later i don't have a carbon filter and was wondering if would smells. after i saw sex i would either kill it(male) or put it back under 24on. is this possible? thanks

ya, the light spectrum doesn't matter as much as the photoperiod. If you switch to 12/12 your plants will start to flower.

You won't smell her until weeks into flowering. The stink comes as buds form.

Actually kind of surprised that they do not stink already?! My veg box has a very strong aroma, and when it is closed you can still smell it 25 feet away! You may have grown use to the smell, it maybe already has a strong aroma but you dont notice it anymore.

If u veg long enough u get preflowers...that will tell u the sex

Some phenotypes stink soon after they pop from seeds. I know that Chemdog from GHS does...
