oh yeah these pics are the same plant on different nodes...

Most likley unless it's auto-flowering then that isn't the plants "twigs & berries" 
Although I know from my most recent grow that my pistel pods looked nothing like that. That looks like a pod with a stem, could be male but wait a few days, I thought I had a male and decided to wait and lucky me I found out it was a girl. Those beautiful little pistels emerged!!
Oh, forgot to ask, what kind of camera were you using, it does really good macro shots!

yeah, it can be tricky... that's why I suggest just flowering them out or cloning to figure it out.Most likley unless it's auto-flowering then that isn't the plants "twigs & berries"
