Hey guys, I'm new to growing and for a first time experiment I'm growing in a 5 gallon spacebucket that I have constructed. Currently I'm using 4 23 watt (100 watt replacement) CFL bulbs. I planted my germinated seed 1 day ago and I was wondering what type of CFLs I should use until it sprouts and what kind I should use during the veg stage and flowering stage. (Being cool white and daylight) So far I've been using 2 cool whites and 2 daylights. What do you guys think? Thank you!

Planting directly into a 5 gallon will make watering very difficult, make sure not to over water which will be easy in such a big container, secondly hard lights 6400k etc are better for veg, soft 2700k etc are better for flowering, I would reccomend to scrog your one plant to the size of your container in a net tressil, by fiming, topping and lsting the plant until it's full of nodes, then flip to flower manage the stretch, larf the underside of your canopy at week 2 add more p and k weeks 4-9wks or whenever you cut, don't flush use organics, ph. There you go go get umm

That's neat first time I seen two buckets used. But I had good results with a mix of the cool and daylight for the vegging and for the flowering cycle I might do 3- 2700k, and maybe 1 -3000k. But 2700k is recommended as what was stated already. Some will recommend mixing different light spectrum's during flower and I have done this in the past with good results but the right ratio not sure exactly.

  • Haha thanks man, and it's at it's lower adjustment I'd call it. I have a middle piece as well to raise it. And okay, so for vegging aim towards 3 daylight 1 cool to mix up spectrums.? And for flowering I will use all warm/cool lights I know for sure along with some LEDs.
