Why wouldnt you b eable to grow one? And why wouldnt there be a chance thats its male? Even feminized seeds sometimes are male or hermie. I dont know anything about cfl's so I dont know if thats enough light or not

Of course you can grow just one plant, but yield will be limited to that plant. Too many people think you can grow several plants to produce higher yield...partly true. But too many plants in an area will stunt the yield. You have to find a happy medium. One plant that is controlled, will yield more than 4 plants in the same area. Read FAQ's to see about increasing yield. Your odds of it being male is about....um let's see.....50% is my best guess. Unless, like 2cimdma said, you have feminized seeds. Then your odds are less than 5% it will be male, unless as was said also, it goes Hermi on you from such things as stress. The first thing I would do is get more light for later on in flower stage, making sure it's red spectrum (for flowering), blue spec is for veg stage. Slow grow could be caused by several reasons including low or high temperatures, low or high nute levels. Get as many meters for different readings as you can so you can learn from your first grow to make the next and the next etc. grows more potent and larger yields. The more $$$ you invest, the better all will be. But you don't need to invest a lot of cash to do well. My total investment is under $200. Not even the cost of half-assed weed on the streets. Good luck.

someone correct me if im wrong but: with cfls im pretty sure you are supposed to use 5500-6500k bulbs as the majority of light during the veg stage and then switch it to the 2700ks during flower. the 6500s are soft white and the 2700s are daylight. so as to your question: you should be using mostly soft white(6500) maybe with some daylight bulbs(2700) thrown in for right now.
plant stress can affect the sex: such as heat stress or handleing trauma.
and 70-75 is a good range for the temperature.

how long since you planted the seed and have they sprouted up yet?

Your off to a good start genetically, and other people have answered your questions, and commented on your lighting situation. The only question i have is that if you have access to high quality seeds like that why wouldn't you invest a bit of money and grow as much as your space provides?

You should be using Daylight (Blue Spectrum) CFL's during the vegetative state and Soft White (Red Spectrum) CFL's during the flowering state. Blue Spectrum = Spring, Summer. Red Spectrum = Fall

I started off with 4 -- 23 watt CFL bulbs from walmart ...the cheapest they had .... i had them in a growbox that was made out of 2 storage tubs held together with zip ties.....i glued 4 light bases and ran them in paralel .....the 4 lights do put off a little heat so i used a computer case fan which is powered by a cell phone charger to move air through the box . It does wonders .........Honestly the only bulbs Ive used were the WalMart Always save 23 watt soft white bulbs ...and my plants are growing like crazy , im 3.5 weeks into flowering and have buds everywhere. I just ordered 4-- 23 watt 6500k bulbs and ...4--23 watt 2700k bulbs. Ill repost in a few weeks and see if theres a differnce. I have 2 growing in my closet atm .....here is the link to my girls..........https://www.rollitup.org/members/deltadave77-albums-my-first-grow.html
