Hello,

I need to buy some CFL's does the home depot sell the 6500 or 2700 type bulb? Lastly, does it say it on the package? Sorry but never ever even touched a CFL before so I am asking!

They should sell both, and they should be marked 'cool white' and 'soft white'

The cools are blue, the softs are red

so if its a cool white its a 3000K and if it a soft white its a 6500 K cause I want the actual kelvins if I can and not near them

I know :) I am a white collar smoker, It was just wording I used I guess without thinking but it shouldn't be thought of as offensive. so about the lights...... lol

No offense taken, but then again its a touchy subject for me. I just burned half of my kids clothes. Those baggy ass jeans, hoodies, etc. I burned it all right in front of him. Gangstas are not welcome in my house. Too bad the gangstas dont realize where the baggy jeans originally originated.

But take a look at 1000bulbs.com. Best prices I have found and an excellent selection. I have placed two orders with them in the last six months. Right now working on replacing all my incadescents throughout the house with cfls.

ok, I was confused just now looking on homedepot.com they have a few Fluorex replacement bulbs for sale and I think that means that all of them are at 6500 and blue, but some of them say they need a certain kind of mogul base.... I want 6500 and 300 CFL's that I can just plug into a regular socket..

tube flos are ok but the specs are spred through the hole light unlike a CFl where the specs are in a compact area and can deliver better results
