Who doesn't know what they would do if the had a shotgun and several handguns pointed at them at once?!?!? If anyone says anything other than doing anything to get out of that situation quick you're lying. Then you can go get your gun(s), come back, and kill all of them.

Maybe not. In the wild, you don't have the population density so it becomes less of an issue. In an urban setting however, it is VERY important. It really chaps my hide every time i see a cop show or movie where the cop approaches a doorway/corner with his gun pointed up in the air. Just fucking RIDICULOUS!!!!

1) With your gun pointed in the air as approaching said doorway/corner, it's easy as hell for someone to reach out and take it from you. Leverage is a bitch.

2) If there IS someone around the corner and you meet in the doorway, you HAVE to lower your weapon to get off a shot whereas with it pointing downward, you simply flip your wrist upward.

3) You have NO idea where that round will end up.

4) When trying to acquire a sight picture (as in finding a threat standing across the room), it is MUCH easier AND faster to acquire said picture while raising the firearm than when lowering it. When you lower it, you are GOING to have a "bounce" as you counter gravity. When you RAISE it, it's identical to raising your finger and pointing. No bounce.

End Rant/
