aphids-1.jpg

that's pretty small.... maybe it's the larva of one of the things you know it isnt......... it's def not a gnat but the larva look A LOT like that... truth is, larva look alike :/

nt sure i dont think so m8.. looked through numerous threads but cant find em, they look like some sort of larvae!! gt 2 lil pincers at head. theres quite a few of em and u can see em with the naked eye, nt particularly fast moving,, jus sort of mooching along

that's pretty small..

hi bud thanks for looking in,, u can see em with the naked eye, but thought the scope mite help diagnose better, they could well be the larvae of something i mentioned, but i cant help thinking i wud of spotted some mature by now..

yeah bt there are thousands of species of aphids
I would use some homeade insectice with some soap and spray em anyway and see if they don't go away.

are you in flower ?

yes i am inflower thats the issue also, ihave some sray that has coriander oil canola oil and triethanolamine but says keep away from flowers, so hesitant understandably

I wonder if you could get an army of lady bugs to help.... I just hate using sprays. I have used sprays directly on buds :/ but then after a few hours I spay with water to get everything cleaned off. I dont really know if it makes a difference for sure but it didnt have any unusual taste so i think it probably washed everything off...

:o here they are... lil bitches. not thrips , spidermites whiefly or gnats ,, hmmm any ideas

Hey OP, not trying to derail your thread, but how did you take those magnified pics like that?

I have a little pocket microscope and it's so fuckin' hard to use in my grow room to try to look at a specific spot up close...

And yes, I think it's aphids, but I'm no expert by any means. Looks damn similar to the picture of aphids.

a springtail??? care to elaborate please mate... never heard of em.. also 2 gt pics i used a 30x scope and simply placed the scope right on leaf trapping the lil fucker, gettin th ephone in right position is a trick but can be done with patience, put the leaf an scope on ya knee or hard surface to stop it wobbling... gd luck..
does anyone know of a homemade solution i can use?

also damage from them is twisted leaves ,, discoloration spots/silver tissue damage. loer leaves are worse off and are dying,, i hope they will survive for another 4 weeks, need to eradicate th efuckers,, nt lost a crop yet due to critters nt going to start ....

hi sweetsmoker, I'm a grower from israel

last week I've noticed small bugs crawling on my veg plants
I've also looked at them under a microscope and they looked exactly like those pictures you took.

I looked it up and came to a conclusion, this is the second larva state of thrips, you are welcome to check it out yourself in the picture I added.

the initiale signs were yellow dots on the upper surface of the leaves and small (extremy small) black dots. (picture added)

thrips are reletively harmless, they apear in high humidity and when plants are weak. when i transfered my plants to the pre-flowering HPS with proper vantalation, the problam vanished.
