Can this be topped?

Hey guys, quick question...

I got 3 ladies going atm but 1 is a bit older than the other 2...2 weeks older...I stunted her at the start and burnt her a little but she seems to be bouncing back ok...

This was her2013-06-01 12.17.58.jpg and now this is her 14 days later, the one on leftIMG_0006.jpgIMG_0007.jpg

Now what I want to do is top all of them UncleBens way stated here https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/151706-uncle-bens-topping-technique-get.html but the only problem is it states when it gets to 5-6 nodes I have to top it above the 2nd node.

Well on my oldest you can see the first leaves are burnt to shit and havnt grown much if any, obviously cos they burnt to shit. The first true leaves are not burnt but I think they were stunted when the I fucked up cos they dont seem to be growing much either. The next set which would be the 2nd node is in the same situation and not growing. So if I was to top this what would happen? I see the new growth starting above the 2nd node but it is growing slower than the rest so if I topped this when ready would it speed up the growth in that area or would it still be stunted. Just worried because the top new growth seems to be growing pretty vigoroudly now just like the other 2.

Heres some more pics to get a better idea of what I mean...

See what I mean about the first 2 nodes are stunted compared to the rest. Just dont wanna top this specific one above the second node if its going to stay stunted.

Heres my other 2 which dont have this issue...keep in mind they are 2 weeks younger but had time to catch up.

What should I do about the oldest?

I would wait till they're completely healthy first.. There is a reason why Uncle Ben recommends topping after the 5th or 6th node.. I've topped at 4 without any problems but that's with a perfectly healthy clone.

Im not intending on topping it now. Im just curious if the first 2 set of true leaves dont grow and stay stunted will topping them UncleBens method be worth it...When I do top!

i would have to agree with Cruizn. the last thing you should be worrying about is topping, you got awhile before you even have to think about that.

Its just curiosity...Why would I wait to learn something right to up to the point when its gotta be done... Its just a simple question...If those leaves continued the way they are being stunted, would it be practical for one to top above the second node. Im not worried about it. Im just curious how plants would react to such a situation.
