Greetings Fellow Growers and Non-Growers. I want to replaced my 600 HPS but i'm still skeptical and undecisive on which LED to purchase. Im WAS leaning towards the G8LED 600w ($799.99) from DORMLED.COM but after some research it seem they would not be the best choose due to the fact they are CHINESE made ( Funny because everything now is assemble in china so im like WTF does that matter). According to "SOME" users, they died out sooner then expected also, their actual draw power is much much less than what they say. The second LED i was leaning toward was MARS II ELITE 1200W ($555). Now the problem with the MARS II is similar to the G8LED, CHINESE MADE and similar problatic scenario like the G8LED. Finally, comes the XGS-190 195W (Actual Draw Power) from AT51($445) which i decided it would be my best option. They're AMERICAN manufactured with a LIFETIME WARRANTY with a very positive feedback from the comminuty here. My spending limit is $800 so i can't get two and growing space is 4x3x6.5.. I might get one XGS and add an extra LED lighting on the side, still havent decided. PLEASE PLEASE and PLEASE if you have any experience with any LEDS listed above, PLEASE tell me about it. How did it work out? If you could back in time would you repurchase the same led or another one? Can it replaced a 600w HPS? Money is very limited in my case and won't be able to afford to rebuy new LEDS.

4x3 can't be covered by one XGS - you don't have the budget to cover that area effectively with quality manufactured LED's. Not sure on the DIY side, but that's likely your best option given budget and performance, if you are capable. I'd stear clear of the Chinese made lights - inflated claims and reliability are both factors there. I'll let others offer their advice.

That said, I just bought 4 RW-75's and I think you could stretch your coverage in veg to cover, but would want 6 if you are flowering. That's based on a weeks worth of usage and seeing how they cover my 4 x 2 area.

XGS is the best of your choices and no it would not replace a 600w. 400w replacement. 2 could replace a 600w hps but not one.
Yea that makes sense but for $1000 wouldn't you get something more powerful? A very good quality led instead of having two XGS.

Its seems more smaller units is better than one higher powered one with leds as the footprint can be more appropriately setup.

The XGS is a very high quality LED light, arguably the best all white LED light available. You would only need to save up another $90 in order to purchase two XGS's.

With taxes it comes up to $985 almost $1000. I might do that and just get two since i know im going to be saving a lot of money from the eletric bill. Now the only thing im skeptical is about overheating and noise I haven't used one before nor havent seen one in action so i have no idea what to expect. Based on my research they are much cooler to run than any hps but dont know about the noise.

Can't speak to the XGS, but my 4 RW-75's are cool to the touch in all areas and fans are as close to silent as I've ever heard. I can assure you that those two concerns are 'no concern' as it relates to your lighting choice - you can't replace it with anything cooler or quieter watt for watt.

Okay thanks man for your advices and inputs specially since you already own 4 RW75's. Now my questions to you as an owner of four RT75 is: the total comsumptions is 77.5W Flowering mode. Does that mean thats the actual power drawn gives you 75G per plant "GPW" ? (Assuming proper enviroment, nutes ect..)

Haven't flowered with them yet, so honestly can't tell you on that front. I can tell you that people regularly post about their harvests of GPW or better with the high end LED's, including Area51 - with lots pushing over the GPW threshold. Too many factors in a grow to tie that all to lighting, but in the right growers setup, I'd expect to be able to meet or beat GPW actuals. Take a look at the Apache thread to learn more about real world actuals and LED yields - but there are many others as well.

Xgs is Damn near silent. Very cool. My first run with the XGS was right at 1gpw with a dry weight of 6.5oz. I only had the xgs at the time. Now I have xgs and rw 150 in the space. I missed doubling my yield due to problens with dwc that round. Back to coco this round and should be better than last round which wasn't too terribly far off my 3/4lb goal.

6 plants, 2 gal air pots dutchmen coco with some extra perlite and peat mixed in, 2x3 at the time , RO water and AN sensi 2 part pH perfect coco adding only bud candy during flower. For the first time.

Second went to 2x4 with both lights, using DWC buckets and canna aqua.

THE NOISE!!!!! IS NEARLY NON EXISTANT!

i started off in the LED game with the old mag plus 357 china edition (even though they were bad im glad i did because i saw potential even in the magnum) but it had 5 insanely noisy fans.

the xgs has 2 barely humming fans, i have 3 inside a gorilla grow tent beside my bed.

Another RW150 owner here now... I've got 3 of 'em hanging over a 2x4 and I'm impressed. Heat is minimal and noise is extremely low. Coverage is the only down-side and that'll be true for any LED.... a few have wider angle lens than others, etc... but footprint will always be smaller than something like HID or even like my old 8 bulb T5HO...

RIU has a good Fanboi crowd for A51 and I can say I've sort of jumped on that bandwagon... Now I'm just trying to plot and scheme my way into how I can justify 3 more!
