Can someone teach me how to make shatter?

The information online is conflicting. And that’s likely because different people use different methods to work around either not having a vacuum purge or other equipment. I’d like a technique from someone who doesn’t take shortcuts, who has tried it themselves and who it has worked for. I am willing to purchase other equipment if it results in a safer, higher quality product.

Here is my situation. I have a lot of trim after a harvest and around 100g of kief. I’d like someone to recommend a procedure as well as the equipment I would need in order to get quality product from the kief and trim I have. Please post some links if you feel like helping me out for the items I need such as the vac purge and when recommending the equipment please consider the volume of material I am working with. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you can do it with trim n kief but pressing rosen is the easiest. Its also the safest/cleanest as you dont need solvents like butane. Just need a hair straightener, clamp, and parchment paper.

Im sure someone w more experience can help better though

I tried that method and it works really good just not very practical for the large volume.

bho is dying.go with rosin, invest in a larger scale press.the money you spend getting setup for bho after your vac pump, case of tane, etc is not that far off from a press.your customers will thank you later.

I don't have links.sorry.there is a lot of info on here.some guys are pressing huge amounts.that commercial grade stuff is what you want.I understand it may be a space issue, but i'd say it's your best bet.

I am seriously considering buying the $1600 pneumatic press from them and hope it is good quality. At least they are US based with a warranty unlike the Chinese ones that look identical. Something about that much pressure and going cheap don't sit well with me. Now Rosintech could be rebadging the chinese ones for all I know, I really hope that isn't the case though.

I can't really find much info on them. A couple negative reddit threads and nothing positive. Anyone seen any threads from people that bought a Rosin Tech press that liked it? I understand early models were going to have bugs that needed working out, but they have changed models a few times now, claiming to fix those bugs (whatever they were). I would imagine they have sold quite a few by now. Seems odd to not find reviews on them.

I talked to both sales and tech support. They designed their prototype in California and outsource the parts and assembly over seas. Usually when a company says overseas it means China. Because if it's not China they will happily say so.

Total bummer. I found one on Alibaba that looks exactly like the rosin tech press, but with a different paint job
I seen those as well and was hoping they were cheap knock offs... partly right.. knock offs, but doubt they are any cheaper quality.

Here is the one on Alibaba. It's a little over $100. It looks similar to the rosin tech 5x5 https://m.alibaba.com/product/60529243104/CP815B-R-Prior-Wholesale-Rosin-Press.html?spm=a2706.7843299.1998817009.5.Xvv70q
We are told to not buy cheap Chinese knockoffs. But are they really really knockoffs, or are the US companies buying the original from China and churching it up? Here is the one on rosin tech. They are similar. Hell, even base is trimmed in the same shape. Next step is to find which product came first (the China made one on Alibaba or the rosin tech press). Knowing that would tell us who is knocking off who. https://www.rosintechproducts.com/collections/heat-presses/products/rtp-gold-series-manual-rosin-tech-heat-press-5x5

We are talking about a simple heat press so I doubt either side put much into the development since they have existed in other forms for shirt printing for years. They just customized them a little to work better for our needs. The pnuematic ones are the same way, $1600 from Rosintech, $400-$600 from Alibaba and other than paint scheme they look identical.
