Yo whats up RIU!!
Quick question... Ive got two months left on my property before i move out and i want do one last grow before i go! Im gonna be getting clones that are ready to go and i want to put them straight to 12/12. Just got a few questions about this

1. Will they flower in 8 weeks?
2. How tall are they likely to grow?
3. When do i add the big bud and overdrive? Am i right in saying to start with the big bud from day 8 as i did before?

Thanks for all the help in advance people!!!

Well, they could be ready by then, but what if they aren't. You'll find yourself in a bind if they for whatever reason take 9-10 weeks which happens in some cases. Typically, 8 weeks is about normal, but you have drying time and cleanup time before you leave.

It's doable, but I wouldn't personally, just because I hate crunch time. But that's just me. Provided everything went perfectly, yes, you might be able to do this. Height wise, who knows. 12-24" or so would be my guess, but I don't 12/12 from clone. I veg mine.

Hey man! I veg mine usually for around 4-5 weeks before i switch but this is crunch time as u say haha. The clones are gonna be blue cheese so i dont know the flowering times for these? Friend of mine has jus finished from the exact same mother and they took just over 8 weeks but they was under less wattage of light so im guessing mine would take a little less to mature? Have you got any ideas when to start the BB if im going straight from 12/12 as ive never done this before? Cheers for the help mate!

I don't have any tips to speed up flowering. Hydro was the route I chose to speed up veg.

I say run it, because in 8 weeks, I would like to know weather you pulled it off, or if you needed more time! subscribed :)

Personally, if it was me bro, I wouldn't waste the time to rush a quickie grow and have a harvest that will suffer, and IMO, most likely be worried the last 3 weeks whether you'll make it or not.
Check these links, maybe this'll help.

After reading these, since you're going from clone, not seed, you may make it OK.

For sure. I had to deal with the learning curve and trial and error as well. My shit suffered, I had to come here and ask the board for help and I got the answers I needed. Now I'm trying to do the same for you. Experimenting is a good thing. You'll learn solid by experience and by making mistakes. Eventually, like I did, you'll probably post a thread thanking RIU members for the help they have given you and the successes you are seeing as a result of our help. :D

You've been here since August and you have 3,600 posts and a Mr Ganja title? I suppose I could ask you the same questions lol

I just know a thing or two on the subject. I make sure that I don't claim or act like a know-it-all. I stay humble with the knowledge that I have and I make sure to share knowledge that I can easily reference so that I'm not called out on something or told I'm wrong and don't know what I'm talking about. It's a pet peeve of mine when people try to give me knowledge without reference, and when I tell them to explain it more in depth, they start trying to word things to make them sound right. Most of the time, I already know answers to questions I'm asking, just to see what kind of bullshit people will feed me. Experience will tell you, 90% of people don't have their facts straight. When I post here, I will ensure that I double check my reference before I post, that way, if someone disagrees with me, I can tell them to disagree with the board because that is where I obtained that piece of information.

Getting better also requires an open mind and an ability to accept feedback and/or criticism. If your stuck in your ways, you'll never get better. Can't stand those type of people as well. If your willing to learn, I'm willing to teach. I'm willing to learn, so I've been taught well. Name dropping is a no-no too. Saying "well so and so says its this way, so I'm going with their word" doesn't work either. Use your own brain and don't use someone else's reputation to back your information. Let the information back up your statement.

Also, proof is in the pudding. When you have knowledge and proof that you can apply it, people will find you to be more reputable, but you have a reputation to keep at that point. Dr. Greenthumb.

Knowledge is power. Learn everything you can. Let me know if I can help. Some people find it difficult to share trade secrets. Not me. If I can share knowledge I'm all for it.

Why not try it out? I think its worth the shot what have you got to lose?
A bunch of potential bud, the money from electricity, and the potential of having to get a grow finished with a landlord potentially popping in and whatnot. I personally wouldn't. I would have done it earlier. Not trying to discourage you, but I have bad luck and mine almost certainly wouldn't be done. lol.
