My little girls are 2 weeks old and have become very ill. They have white tips yellow along the veins and recently began to get brown spots on the oldest growth that turn crispy. Im worried and not sure what to do this is my first attempt at dwc and its a nightmare. The water is under 6 ph temp around 78-82 ish, led 180w 3w 8 band diode. nutes botanicare pure blend pro and liquid karma. here are some pictures.:wall:

Yepper, agreeing with Cronik on this one, looks to be mag deficiencies
mag deficiency is identified by yellowing leaves with middle vein remaining greenIMAG0033.jpg you can feed cal-mag 1 tsp/per gallon to rule out..i've never seen mag def on 2 week olds..also 2 WEEK OLD? you should be coasting not even needing nutes and if you are feeding you prolly are burning..what did you do 3 or 4 days ago to it?

See people are telling me its a mag. issue. So I put a teaspoon in a spray bottle and adjusted the water to 5.8 and misted the plants and poured the remaining mixture into my res. But I have doubts on the mag. def because although it is yellowing near the veins the veins are yellow as well. ISN'T MAG .DEF, YELLOW LEAVES GREEN VEINS? My veins and leaves are yellowing equally though at a very slow rate and I have noticed grwoth slow down its been two days to grow one set of fan leaves.

It could be very early stage mag def, but only 2 of the 4 major visual symptoms are really showing.. one of which is the white leaf tips. I am not seeing any really visible necrosis or red stems that would give my answer of mag def more than 50% chance of being accurate. Do you see any interveinal chlorosis at all that may not be showing based on pics? What is your exact pH?

Its hard to say for sure using ph water strips I got as close to 5.5 as I could thats why I say between 5.5 to 5.8 no higher. There is now visual necrosis on some plants on the first set of leaves I will post pictures so you can see. Yesterday i foliar fed epsom 1 teaspoon to a liter and poured the remaining in the res. That should do it right? How long before i see confirmation?

This is my setup.

Necrosis will not repair itself, but new growth would not be affected.. stunted, or deformed.. color should improve anytime in the very near future depending on what time you did that yesterday.

okay cool. should i prune the necrosis leaves? and so through the pictures i uploaded do the leaves resemble mag def. Lastly, how do the plants look for day 16?
